MEDWAY CHALLENGE UPDATE!

Wow – what an amazing day we had last Sunday for our Medway Challenge, raising money for the incredible Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance ().

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible – our fantastic paddlers who took on the 29km challenge, our support team who helped along the route, and of course everyone who donated and supported us.

Together, we have raised an incredible…
£3,292!

We are absolutely delighted with the amount raised for such a fantastic charity.

Thank you to every single person who took part, supported, donated or shared our fundraising page. You all helped make this year’s Medway Challenge a very special one.

29km paddled. £3,292 raised. One amazing team effort!

You don’t have to be a racer to benefit from race-level training - discover why in our new blog…..

🏄 Great coaches never stop learning

SUP is constantly evolving, and there’s always something new to learn - from other paddlers, different conditions and simply spending more time on the water.

Over the last few months, Cliff has been spending time with some of the UK’s top paddlers, including Marie Buchanan, who went on to win three gold medals at the ICF SUP World Cup in Torquay. 🥇🥇🥇

But it’s not just about racing!

The things we learn from top paddlers can help beginners, challenge paddlers and aspiring racers alike - from better technique and efficiency to understanding changing conditions and building confidence on the water.

And one thing that really stood out?

Sometimes the best training is simply getting on the board, playing, experimenting and having a go.

Because not everyone wants to be a racer, but with play, practice and coaching, we can all enjoy becoming better paddlers. 🌊

We’ve shared more about Cliff’s learning journey, why we believe coaches should never stop learning, and how that knowledge comes back to Epic Life and our SUP Club.

This Sunday, 22 paddlers will be taking on our Medway Charity Challenge!

Our amazing team will be paddling 29km along the River Medway, from Tonbridge to Yalding, all to raise money for the fantastic Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance (airambulancekss)

This year our team is made up of an 8-person MegaSUP team from Snap Fitness Tonbridge, members of the EpicLife staff, EpicLife customers and SUP Club members.

And, of course, we have our wonderful support team of staff and volunteers, who give up their time to help us along the route — we simply couldn’t run this challenge without them.

If you are on or near the River Medway this Sunday and spot us coming through, please give our paddlers a big cheer and some encouragement to keep those paddles moving!

We are doing all of this to support KSS Air Ambulance, an incredible charity that needs around £57,000 every day to operate its lifesaving service.

If you would like to support our paddlers and help us raise as much as possible, please donate through our JustGiving page:
https://justgiving.com/page/epic-life-medwaychallenge2026

Every penny counts, and every donation will give our paddlers an extra boost when those 29km start to feel tough!

Good luck to all 22 of our paddlers for Sunday — you’ve got this!

As the seasons change from summer to autumn, do you ever notice how the river starts to change colour and become a little more peaceful?

Autumn is such a lovely time to paddle. Watching the riverbanks slowly turn beautiful shades of orange, yellow and gold makes paddling our rivers feel like a whole new experience.

Next time you are out on the water, take a moment to slow down, look around and appreciate how the scenery is changing around you.

And if you can, capture a photo of those beautiful autumn colours and share it with — we would love to see your autumn paddling photos!
