We’re getting spooky at The Lighthouse Sports & Social Hub with our Spooky Skate Marathon! 👻🧡

📅 Wednesday 28th October
⏰ 5:30pm–7:30pm

Can you skate for 2 whole hours? Then come along and SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE GOT! 🛼🙌

This is a special fundraising event to help us raise money towards our classroom/community hub, helping us continue to provide activities, support and opportunities for our local community. 💙

We’re asking everyone taking part to collect sponsorships and help us raise as much as we can together! Every bit of support makes a difference. ❤️

October Half Term eligibility stays the same!

Essex ActivAte funded places will continue to be available for children receiving income-related free school meals and for children and young people from eligible low-income families.

Half term programmes run for a shorter period than the main summer holidays, so spaces are limited and prioritised for those who would benefit most from the support.

Do you ever feel lonely or isolated?
Would you like to take part in a research study?

The University of Essex is looking for young people (16-24 year olds) to take part in a research project about loneliness and social isolation.

There are different ways you can take part:
By taking part in a one-to-one interview (Click for more information)
By taking part of in a series of "photovoice" groups (Click for more information)

Photovoice group dates: Saturdays 1.30-3.30
Clacton - 3rd October, 17th October, 24th October
Southend - 31st October, 14th November, 21st November
**You will be offered a £20 shopping voucher for each interview or workshop you attend**
