An age group that’s been generally full, after expanding into 6 teams we have a limited number of spaces in U9 for 26/27. We’re looking for:

⚽️ Outfielders in D1, D2 & D3

A good day for some of our U12s and 13s, who joined forces with touring groups of players and coaches from the USA with The Coaching Manual. Great to work with both players and coaches from abroad and for our lads to show how they play.

Big thanks to TCM for inviting us, great to work alongside a huge coach education provider, and equally great to hear such nice comments about not only our boys’ footballing standards but also their manners, respect etc. - exactly what we set out in ‘The SK Way’, our standards as people as well as players 👏

A nice evening at CFA for some of our U10s and U11s yesterday, great experience for many who don’t frequently get to play in such incredible facilities. A big thanks to City & their Friends of Grassroots programme for their ongoing support for our club & others in grassroots to enable us to put on evenings like this.

U7s 🏆

Big well done to a handful of our 26/27 U7s who went up to Ramsbottom for the SD Tournament and came away with the trophy! Well done guys 👏

A trip to Finch Farm this evening for our 26/27 U12 Blues, to play against Merseyside Schoolboys… and wow 😮‍💨 what a performance! In their first game as a group, the boys came away with a 4-2 win against the highest quality opponents they’ll likely face this season. Well done boys 👏🔵⚪️🔴⚫️

MYSL CHAMPIONS CUP FINALS!

After winning 8 trophies over in Buxton it was time for us to take on Fleetwood. An unforgettable experience put on for the players by MYSL | Manchester Youth Super League.
We managed to come away with 5 gold trophies which puts our end of season cup tally to 13 finals won✅

A HUGE congratulations to our:
U7 Whites, U8 Blues, U9 Blues, U9 Greys and U12 Blues.

MYSL BUXTON FINALS!

SKFC had 9 winners over in Buxton this season, after working hard all season it’s great to see the smiles on our players faces after lifting some silverware.

Congratulations to our:
U7 Blues, U8 Whites, U9 Whites, U10 Blacks, U10 Whites, U11 Whites, U11 Blues, U11 Blacks.

Also a big thank you to MYSL | Manchester Youth Super League for putting on a great finals day. ⚽️🏆

Good luck, Blake 📝

Big well done and good luck to Blake, from our U12 Whites & Mountfield Rovers JFC U12 Jets. Blake’s signed for Salford City for the U13s season! What a journey - Blake started for SKFC in Division 1 at U11, then moved into the Championship with Blacks at the start of this season before earning his way up into Whites and the Prem at Christmas. How about that for development - Div 1, Champ, Prem and now Cat. 3 footy in the space of 12 months. Unreal, well done mate. And thoroughly deserved. We will miss Blake’s rather grown up sense of humour almost as much as we’ll miss his goals & work rate!

That time of year again where grassroots football pauses for some of our players as they take the next step into academy football at professional clubs.

This season, we’re incredibly proud to see 9 players from our Under 8s offered academy opportunities - a remarkable achievement for one age group, and our club are very proud.

A huge congratulations to:

• Awab Hassan from our U8 Reds, signing for Manchester United.

• Toby Gartside, Roman Kelly, Rafeal Leathley, Alieu Batchilly & Ernie Currie from our U8 Blues & Reds, who will be joining local side Stockport County.

• Harlem Powell from our U8 Reds, who moves on to Huddersfield Town.

• Jett Crooks from our U8 Whites, who will be joining Crewe Alexandra.

• Harry Neild from our U8 Whites, who has earned his place with Port Vale.

We wish all the players and their families the very best on the next stage of their journey.
