To everyone connected with Eddlewood AFC

After a lot of difficult conversations and with heavy hearts, we have made the decision that Eddlewood AFC will fold with immediate effect.

When we first started this journey, nobody could have imagined where it would take us. From the early days of losing 27-0, 10-0 and taking hammerings week after week, to eventually building a side that competed, believed and earned promotion last season, every step of that journey was built through hard work, loyalty and togetherness. What started as a group of boys wanting to play football became a proper football family.

One thing we have always been proud of at Eddlewood AFC was giving players a platform to improve and push themselves to the next level. Last season alone, a few of our players moved on to bigger opportunities. This, combined with the tough hurdles we have faced within our own committee, has made it impossible to continue.

To every player who wore the badge, every coach, sponsor and supporter….thank you. Your support over the years kept this club alive through the toughest times.

It’s heartbreaking to say goodbye to something that has been such a huge part of the community for so long. Any money remaining in the club account will be donated to Eddlewood 2017s to help continue the development of the kids and support the next generation, any money sent for the football card please contact us and we will send back.
