Race Results 🏆
What a weekend the team had 👏🏻
A lot of the team taking part in the NL Half Marathon, Bellahouston 10KM & 5KM PB’s all coming in 🙌🏻
Gordon - Kicking off with his first half marathon race! Something that we have planned for the last 6-8 months and working towards
The goal for Gordon was anything under 2 hours! However, I knew he was about to do something incredible
He crossed the finish line in…. 1:41:35 🥳
Incredible! The hard work & effort that has went into this has been amazing to watch & be part of 👏🏻
Time to see what’s next & I know he’s got more incredible results lined up 🎯
Declan - Next up Declan, taking on his first half, his first race & walking away with a 5, 10 & Half Marathon PB 🏆
Walking away with an incredible time! He’s been working hard in the background with his running & strength work so it felt about right to dive in and test where things are at 🎯
Looking forward to seeing whats to come for him 👏🏻
Alison - Back on the podiums 🥳 this time last year she was out with injury, missing Berlin marathon & not able to run! This weekend, she’s top 3 in her AG & top 10 overall all whilst part of her training run 🏆
This weekend was incredible for Alison and a big step towards Barcelona IM in 6 weeks but also, a real reminder of what is capable with her running & what we can do going into next years races 🏃🏻♂️
Reece - Cruising 10K’s whilst prepping for G2E 🏃🏻♂️
Reece is right in the depths of his ultra prep at the minute but throwing in some fun races to make training that bit more exciting and building for a big challenge to come 👏🏻
Buzzing to see what he can throw down at G2E 🙌🏻
Laura - Laura decided it was time to go sub 30 on her 5KM & she smashed it out the park 👏🏻 paced by the incredible Natalie Pirrie
Having only started running 4-5 months ago, she’s went from strength to strength with her running & we’re looking forward to seeing her building her volume and smashing out more PB’s 🏆

🏆 NL Half Marathon 🏆

More to follow on everyone’s progress & races 🥳
I cycled the course shouting at folk incase you’re wondering why I’m head to toe in lycra 🤣🤣

🏆 YOU ARE AN IRONMAN 🏆
Yesterday was incredible!!
And this incredible human just became part of the 0.01% club 🥳
Fraser Brown… you are an IRONMAN 👏🏻
The weekend started off on the back foot however
The swim being cancelled which is very poor from Ironman & Leeds council
These guys & girls have been prepping for months for this & it’s been well known how hot it’s been so something should have been done about it!
However, adversity aside he took it in his stride!
But whilst in transition Fraser also noticed his right tri bar was sitting off and we quickly resliaeed that the bolt was broken & make shift tri bar secured in with tape & a bike inner tube 🤦🏻♂️
Nonetheless, rolling start on the bike! Some crazy hills, technical decents and a course that you always have to be switched on with to get to the end of the bike leg
He put in a tremendous bike effort with some great average paces across nearly 3000M of elevation coming off the bike in under 7 hours 👏🏻🚴🏻♂️
Followed by a very hard run route with lots of turns, downhills but also, slow long uphills to match
He kept chipping away
Stride after stride
We knew it was going to be tough
But coming across that red carpet to hear those famous words
And to be part of the 0.01% club 🙌🏻
It’s been amazing prepping Fraser for this Ironman
He’s taken everything in his stride
Learning to swim
Balancing a busy job
Young kids & family life
All whilst putting the efforts in each week to get ready for yesterday
And it all payed off 🙌🏻
Fraser once again…

It’s All Pulling Together 🏃🏻♂️
7 weeks out from Barcelona 🇪🇸
SLR exactly where things need to be from a run standpoint & looking forward to the next 5 weeks of prep before we dip into our taper phase 🎯
There’s so many points throughout a prep where you’re peaking & you’re fighting for it but long runs like today give you that confidence boost to know it’s all coming together!
And this is something you learn over time, it’s just sitting in & allowing whatever is going to happen, happen! But as long as you’re on the money with your numbers & keep slotting pennies into the machine you’ll get that reward 🏆
I’m excited to see what’s to come from this years IM, 3 years on from the last time at Barcelona & hell of a lot of knowledge, experience & hard to put on show 🙌🏻

The Ironman Hype 💭
It’s on the up and up
But I don’t think that’s a bad thing…
I’ve come from a professional fighting background
I couldn’t actually swim front crawl for 25M when I started 🫣
But it’s been a sport that has changed my whole outlook on life & training
However, the social bubble can be hard to live in
Sub 8
Sub 9
This TT bike
Those £250 shoes
Tri suits, wet suits, bikes, helmets, this, that…
F*ck me, gives a minute please 🤦🏻♂️
I think we miss the greatest thing about it…
Progress & development and learning along the way
My first wet suit was from Aldi (terrible idea 🤣)
My first bike was £500 from Halfords (the derailer fell off it)
I ran every run in carbon plated shoes
I couldn’t swim more than 25M front crawl 🫣
But what a journey 👏🏻
If you never start, you’ll never know
And this is not just a story for triathlon
Or sports
But life in general
The stories we see online
The highlight reels
They might not be reality
The average Ironman finish time is between 12:30-13:30 hours
Not sub 10 🤷🏻♂️
So just start
If it’s a business
A new life across the world
A new hobby, sport
There is always going to be what if’s
There will always be risks and hard work
But the life you actually desire comes from the action you feel uncomfortable to take
It won’t be easy
But the reward is amazing and in the terms of ironman
Well you join the 0.01% club 🤝

Another Big Week In Tank 🤝
8 weeks to go to Barcelona & things are stepping up 🇪🇸
Biggest week of volume this week training wise with a 2HR’s 30 on the bike to top things out tomorrow 🚴♂️
Ironman prep isn’t for the faint hearted but I know what that feeling of crossing the finish line in 8 weeks feels like & I can’t wait to do it again 🙌🏻
Here’s to a 6 weeks of training before we dip into our taper 👏🏻
