The Sundays round the weekend off with a trip to Low Moor at an earlier 10am start

The first team entertained Triangle at home, putting them into bat they scored 244 in a 34 over contest. In response, we were never really in the chase losing wickets at regular intervals with the skipper Harry Talbot top scoring with 53 in a 30 run loss.

The second team travelled to Blackley losing by 200 runs in a disappointing display owing to poor weekend availability

The Sundays however marched in with another victory as they now only need 1 more victory for promotion as they beat Mount at home with Hari Feraz scoring 52 and Ghulam Naqshband taking 5/15 👏🏻

Weekends results

The first team travelled to Illingworth and stuck them into bat with Illingworth scoring 223/8, the wickets shared around. In response despite a valiant 43 from Kier Litjens we fell way short with some rather comical dismissals on show 👀 (play cricket for anyone who wants a laugh)

The seconds had a great win at home to Traingle as they limited them to 184/8 in there 45 overs with the wickets shared around. In response, it was Tait Cole’s with a superb 83 which lead the way with numerous other contributions.

The Sundays rounded the weekend off with another victory and moved into the top 2. The stand out performance being Faisal Feraz who scored an impressive 100 retired as we won by 136 runs as the promotion race hots up with 3 games to go

Last weekends results

The first team hosted Bradshaw who chose to bat first. Bradshaws innings ended on 188 with the wickets shared around the bowling attack. In response, in true Hedge Top style we made hard work of the chase eventually knocking the score off 8 down, Dan Barron top scoring with 59 as we took the 12 points.

The second team travelled to table toppers Illingworth knowing a tough game was in store. A superb bowling effort limited Illingworth to 175 all out, Muhammad Zubair the pick of the bowlers 5/46. With the bat we fell just 5 runs short in what was a great effort led by Liam Dimbleby who scored 86 not out. We needed 10 to win off the last over but wasn’t meant to be and returned with 5 valuable points
