Hailsham Town FC Hailsham Town FC are the Senior football club for Hailsham, East Sussex. 💛💚 Our growing youth section always welcomes newcomers to the beautiful game.

Founded in 1885, Hailsham Town have had a long and successful history in Sussex football, winning many local competitions as well as reaching the Fifth Round of the FA Vase during the 1988/89 Season. The Stringers are a Community Sports Club - we run teams at Senior, Reserve and now Under 18 level, and often hire our well appointed Clubhouse out for local events and to the community for weddings and parties. Just the bare minimum from last night's 2-1 RUR Cup victory over Loxwood, but I think for the first time ever I managed to get the whole squad coming off at the end in one continuous shot! Well played lads for holding off the opposition to avoid a possible penalty shootout after they popped up with a latish goal. (AJH)

Photos from the second half of this afternoon's great 5-2 league win over Arundel, beginning with chub historian Alun Thomas poring over the club archives to close 2 missing links. My grateful thanks go to our cheerful band of ground staff who have thoughtfully put in some finishing touches to my second home - the only downside as opposed to the previous turnstile is that I cannot see much of the game from it until the second half when I have finished counting the takings, so thanks lads for waiting until then to score 4 of the 5 goals! Stu has just sent me the attached link for a neutral view of today's match with photos and video clips - well worth a look, the author must have been standing near me for the second half during which I managed to see the Stringers score for the first time this season. His video of Harry's goal is similar but better than mine so I don't need to post mine it but I will post my match photos later. (AJH)
