Howdy lovely people! It's the start of a new month and not just any month.....its already September!!! Kids are going back to school, temperatures flipping in the mornings and evenings to being cold and fresh again and the big one for every ice rink PANTO REHEARSALS!!!!!

Oh and lets not forget...... our general skating season is just beginning!!! 😃😃😃😃😃🎉🎉🎉🎉

I had a lot going on work and hockey wise when I came back from holiday early/mid August and my sincerest apologies if I missed anyone's messages once I was back in the country. I do get quite a few over the days and finding my rhythm working nights and awake at random times in the day took some adjustment even after being off for 4 days 🤣 used to it again now though! 😁

Looking forward into this months days and times I can list the following for catching me in person........

Saturday 5th 09:30-16:30
Sunday 6th 11:00-15:00

Saturday 19th 09:30-16:30
Sunday 20th 11:00-15:00

If im free on other days and in the area it could still be possible to get me to give you your edges back but you'll have to organise that direct with me as early as possible please. The messaging system on FB is a bit naff as i also have my personal one so do feel free to message me on whats app with the mobile number.

As always you can drop your skates to the Fidelis shop on slyfield M-F between 9-5 for me to do overnight or for a day of your choosing in the week. Just pop in, have a chat with the staff, fill out your details slip that gets attached to your boots/bag and ill get to them at the night times to help you zoom zoom on the ice once more! 😃

You can also seek advice on any locks/keys you may be having issues with including vehicle keys or possibly be in the market for a key holding & alarm response solution for your property or business that you would like to find more information about. Please ask away! 😃

Bonjouno everyone!

Looks like its going to be a good summer! Another wave of the heat incoming! Remember dont walk dogs during the heat of the day, drink plenty of water and where possible limit your exposure to the sun! As nice as having a tan is with these temps burning will be more of a risk so please be careful! Please note that looking at the forecast all my sharpening will be done at night time for the next week or so. I have 1 person booked on Wednesday that I will message tomorrow to arrange an alternative solution. This will impact the Saturdays of course which unfortunately I cant help, even with a fan blasting me full on it doesn't help much at all. That being said I will be there this Saturday for boots to be dropped with slightly shorter hours as I have to be in Slough by 16:30 for a little bit of ice time and later in the month I have some away games so will be off earlier than usual.

This months times and dates to catch me in person are as follows:

Saturday 11th 09:30-14:00
Sunday 12th 10:00-13:00

Saturday 25th 09:30-15:00.

As always your welcome to drop boots off M-F 9-5 for me to get done overnight or for a day of your choosing at the Fidelis office. Just a reminder aswell as some people have cut me short on time by days recently..... if you say I have until x date to complete them by please dont expect them to be done before that. With how busy I get it then means I have to prioritise very regularly to mornings, afternoons and day by day combined with making sure im awake enough etc to still do a good job when working at night and the weekends are not included in the overnight service meaning when im not there for my in person weekends, boots get done sporadically when I have time at night so please dont leave them on Friday and expect them to be ready for the Saturday if im not there during the day or its not agreed direct with me beforehand. I try my best to accommodate but im also trying to not let all of my brain cells be used too quickly 😂

Pre warning aswell ill be out of the country from the 3rd of August to the 6th of August and then covering my colleagues night shifts afterwards so he can do his security licence refresher course. During the holiday time I wont respond to any messages and will only be looking at my phone for directions around where im going 😂😁 once im back on the 6th ill be back on the scene for the next day.

Heya guys and gals! Just an update regarding tomorrow's drop in day. I dont want to do this but I cant do anything other but Ill be there to take skates between the hours of 09:15-16:30 but I wont be sharpening till waaayy into the night time as the heat is just unbearable in the workshop im afraid. For those who need their skates back for early training ice Monday and Tuesday at Guildford (as long as its open) wont be a problem to drop them to you. There may also be the possibility of collecting in the evenings before I start my security shifts M-T between 18:15-19:00.

Apologies for any disruption this might cause but I did a few pairs Wednesday evening around 7/8pm and I was soaked after 20mins out there it was that hot still and lets just say I didnt feel right for the rest off the evening after being that way for an hour or 2.

Howdy people! I hope everyones well! Just a quick little message as its happened a few times now.

Please be sure to leave details such as name, number, depth needed if known and date of collection if possible with your boots. It's been mentioned to me that a few people have come in to drop them said I know what im doing with them already almost blunt and slightly resistant to leaving information when the guys are ready to assist. As flattered as I am that theres anyone out there that thinks I can remember 300/400 different personal boots and grinds this is not true and I cannot 😂

Please be kind to our Fidelis team they can only really take your details and pop the boots out by my machine for me when I come in and even though you may have told me in a message your dropping them, by 2am when I get to them sometimes I need as much info as possible to do the job correctly. And as much as I would never want to enforce it I am happy to refuse service to anyone that is abusive or overly argumentative over small issues that can be easily rectified. I try to juggle the time management as best as I can and hope I serve everyone well.

Enjoy your sunshine people but dont forget to practice through the summer! 😁

Bonjour lovely people! I hope were all well and enjoying the change of the seasons. I love this time of year as the ice is a plenty now the hockey seasons over and as much as I dont like seeing low numbers of attendance we all know and love having that feeling of loads of space or sometimes even having the ice to yourself.

Im a bit late with it this month but my here are the days you can catch me in person for a drop in....

If you cant make those please do remember that boots can be left for me anytime between 9-5 M-F at the Fidelis offices on slyfield. You can also sometimes book an appointment on Wed, Thurs and Fridays through me if im free but please do bear in mind these are my days off from the security night work so if im not available sometimes there not a lot I can do about it.

Whilst your there dropping boots off you can also enquire about any lock/key issues, keyholding and alarm response service queries or any thoughts on home/commercial security systems. Theres not a lot we dont know about what we do and if we dont know theres a good chance we'll know someone reputable that will.

Morning lovely people! Im very aware some of you have made an enquiry regarding coming today. Please be aware that it looks like the heat is going waaaayyyyy up again today which is bad news for me. Give me 5-13°c in a rink anyday!! Due to the heat and as annoying as this is I cant work in boiling greenhouse temperatures as im sure you can appreciate.

You'll still be able to drop them off for me at various points but you'll have to call the on call locksmith just to check if he's at the office still or out on a job. The number you'll need for this is the main Fidelis number of 01483506225.

After yesterday and the coming forecast I was expecting a much cooler start to the day maybe a max of 24/25 at the highest point but alas we are set to reach approx 27°c today which means the workshop will go a bit above that being a tin can shell absorbing heat and this gentleman melts in the heat 😭😭

I can only apologise to those that were planning on coming today and if urgent or unable to drop please do contact me directly to organise an appointment or alternative solution as ill also make myself available more in the evenings through the week. Hopefully posting some form of resolution later today.

Sunday - NO SERVICE.

Thats right as we head into the summer months I take back my Sundays for a couple of months to have to myself in the off season. As always I can still also be messaged for an appointment and the overnight service M-F continues if the boots are left for me between 9-5.

Possibly looking to go away for a few days in July for my birthday to give early warning. Just depends if the pennies fall right for me 😁

Heya guys and gals! I hope everyones well and enjoying the sunshine thats been out as of late! Still cold nights though I can assure you 🤣

Right ive got a little apology to make.....over the easter break I got incredibly busy with both job roles I do, I was tired and rundown and as much as i tried to stay on top I may have missed the odd message on whats app for people asking for their boots to be done. Im sorry for this and please if you dont hear from me within a day or 2 please please please pester me with message after message until you get a reply. Dont worry about me sleeping from night shifts. The phone goes on silent whilst im asleep in the daytimes and I only usually sleep 3/4hrs a day anyway.
