🏆 Parents’ Player of the Match Maisy 🏆

It’s hard to disagree with this one after scoring FIVE goals this morning 🔥

But Maisy’s performance was about much more than the goals. She showed a real presence all over the pitch, constantly looking to recycle possession and keep us playing 👌⚽️

Her vision was excellent, regularly picking out opportunities to release our wide players and help us stretch the pitch. She was strong in possession, composed under pressure and showed plenty of determination throughout 💪

"A fantastic opening game of the season for the girls, with a convincing and disciplined performance from start to finish👏

There were lots of positives to take from the game, with the girls showing great attitude, teamwork and commitment. It’s a really encouraging start and gives us plenty to build on 🤜🤛

With no game next weekend, we’ve got four training sessions to work hard, focus on the details and iron out a few areas of our performance 💪

A special mention for the way the game was played respectful, competitive and in great spirits from both teams. It’s always an enjoyable game against Broughton Ravers U16 Girls, and we look forward to the next one.

What a performance from ALL 11 of our girls today! 👏

Taking on an unbelievable Pro Elite Academy side, packed with phenomenal footballers, with just a bare 11 was never going to be easy. But our girls stepped up from the first whistle 😮‍💨

We started strong, won our individual duels and played some of the best passages of football I’ve seen from this group 🔥

The communication from every player, in every area of the pitch, was outstanding... constantly talking, encouraging, organising and helping each other. The girls knew they would have to push themselves for the full 80 minutes, and every single one gave everything and got the result that they very much deserved👏🙌

The football, attitude, determination, communication and togetherness made me nothing short of incredibly proud 💪

Pre-season is about hard work, learning, testing yourselves and preparing for the season ahead and that’s exactly what we did from start to finish today 💯
