🏴 Our teams first paddle on Loch Shiel certainly didn’t come with easy conditions! 🏴
With the sea too lively, the team headed onto the loch and managed a 10-mile paddle, finding shelter where they could and making the most of a challenging day on the water.
Along the way they spotted otters, golden eagles and sea eagles, as well as St Finnan’s Chapel on its remote island — a place with some fascinating history.

🌞 A great weekend away in Anglesey with a brilliant group of paddlers. 🌞
As well as some fantastic sea kayaking, the trip also showed the value of the skills everyone has been developing. The group came across a couple of paddle boarders who had got themselves into difficulty, and our paddlers were able to step in and help get them safely back to shore.
Thanks to everyone who joined the trip, paddled well, and looked out for each other throughout the weekend. It’s always good to see our training put to good use when it’s needed.

🛶 Sea Kayaking in Anglesey 🌊
Our sea kayakers made the most of the recent heatwaves by paddling around the coast at Anglesey, stopping off at the scenic brickworks for some lunch.

☀️ Summer sessions 2026 ☀️
This week we return to Alexandra Dock, Grimsby to start our summer sessions. We are offering Kayak and Canoe training for all abilities with progression opportunities to move into Sea Kayaking and Whitewater.
New members are welcomed at £6 per session, ages 8+, with a 3 week trial period to give the sport a go!
