It's about people.

Twenty years since we opened our doors in Grimsby.
Twenty years of students walking into the dojo for the very first time.
Twenty years of nervous beginners becoming confident karateka.
Twenty years of friendships.
Twenty years of challenges, achievements, competitions, gradings, laughter, hard training and memories.
And I feel incredibly proud to have been part of that journey.
But here's the thing…
The next chapter hasn't been written yet.
And perhaps…
YOU could be part of it.
🥋 I'm Andrew “Andy” Jones, Chief Instructor of Kaizen No-Michi and I've been practising karate since 1991.
For me, karate isn't simply a martial art.
It's a way of life.
Karate has challenged me, humbled me, pushed me beyond what I thought I could achieve and introduced me to some incredible people.
But the greatest reward hasn't been the belts.
It hasn't been the trophies.
It hasn't been the competitions.
It's been the people.
The friendships.
The shared experiences.
The nervous beginner who eventually becomes confident.
The child who walks through the door barely saying a word — and months later is standing tall with a huge smile on their face.
The adult who thought they were too old, too unfit or not confident enough…
…and discovers:
“Maybe I can do this after all.”
That's why I'm still so passionate about karate.
Because I don't just see people walking through our dojo doors.
I see potential.
I see people who haven't yet discovered what they're capable of.
And I want to help them discover it.
