RETIRE ANNOUNCEMENT
Grimsby Amateur Boxing wish to announce the retirement of Dave and Linda Raworth from running the Grimsby A.B.C.
They have been involved with the club since 1978, taking over running the club in 1979. They have many enjoyable memories boxing from the White Hart, The Fish Docks and lately Ainslie Street Park. They have travelled the width and breath of the country to support boxers in their contests, making many friends along the way.
The organisation side of the boxing has been put into the capable hands of Darren Spreadbury.
Although Dave has handed over the organisation of the club, he hasn't hung up his gloves just yet as you will still see him coaching.

Well done to Henry Walker who boxes for Grimsby A.B.C .
Henry was matched on Sunday, 29th March at Epic Golden Gloves in Newark. Henry 's opponent was Riley Rushton from the home club. Henry came away with a well deserved split points decision.
On Sunday, 12th April, Henry travelled to Nottingham Boxing Centre and boxed local boxer Abdulsalam Almashri. This time the split decision went against Henry although his coaches thought he had done enough to win the contest.
The club would like to thank all the coaches who give up their spare time to travel to all the away venues.
Well done Harry Bouch, representing Grimsby A.B.C, who travelled to Doncaster to box on a show put on by Wilby Carr A.B.C.
Harry was matched against local boxer Max McClone. Both boxers boxed well in the first round which was an even round.
Harry stepped up the pace in the second round scoring with straight combination punches. The referee stepped in to give the local boxer a standing count and then stopped the contest in favour of Harry Bouch.
Another Grimsby A.B.C boxer, Jack Dodge, travelled down with the team for a contest but his opponent came in too heavy on the scales, so didn't compete.
