📚📚Kickstarters Reading Intervention📚📚

Kickstarters have carefully and skilfully designed football sessions linked to children’s favourite stories, with these unique sessions being delivered to schools and nurseries in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area.

The coaching sessions revolve around a favourite children’s book, which the children will immerse themselves in and take part in a variety of football activities linked to the story. During these sessions, children will:

* Listen to stories in a group
* Predict what may happen next in a story
* Answer questions about the characters in the book
* Work with other children through teamwork
* Act out the main characters in the story
* Develop fundamental skills like hand/eye coordination, throwing, catching and kicking.

The sessions will aid children’s reading for pleasure and also give children added stimulus to write, by immersing themselves into the characters in the stories.

A service that we are proud to have created and designed to support children’s love of reading and increase physical activity in the local area.

Avary and Zachary were full of joy at the end of their session yesterday at Bradley Football Development Centre as they have both moved up groups!

Avary has been working hard on his football skills in Jacks group on pitch 6 and will be moving up to Wattsy’s group next Saturday!

Zachary has really come on over the last couple of months on pitch 5 and was the stand out performer yesterday! He has been keeping his ball close to him with little touches and has been looking to pass to his peers in the matches at the end. He’ll be moving up to pitch 1 with Sonnie and Matt W!

You should be both very proud of your achievement and look forward to your new group next weekend!

Time 5-6pm.
Price £50 for 7 weeks!
Ages - Year2, 3, 4, 5 & 6

An example of a block of focuses are :

Week 1: Keeping Possession in a 2v1
Week 2: Attacking in a 3v2
Week 3: Delaying an Attack in a 2v1 Overload.
Week 4: Making Recovery runs in a 2v2.
Week 5: Shooting/Finishing in Timed/Opposed scenarios.
Week 6: SSG’s (Small Sided Games) Incorporating Attacking, Defending, Shooting/Finishing.
