⭐️⭐️ Netball Now Tournament ⭐️⭐️

📆📆 Wednesday 9th September 📆📆

📍Oasis Academy Wintringham, Grimsby📍

🏐 We’ve still got a few spaces! 🏐

After such a great night last year, our Netball Now Tournament is back for year 2!

We’re almost full but can squeeze a few more players in if anyone fancies it.

You don’t need a team – just enter yourself and the ladies will sort everyone into fairly matched teams on the night.

Arrive for 6.45pm and it’s only £3.50 to play.

And if anyone fancies blowing a whistle and giving umpiring a go, this is a great place to start or get a bit of practice in. Everyone’s usually in high spirits, so hopefully no side eyes 👀😂

We could also do with a few scorers if anyone fancies helping out.

It’s all really laid back, so no pressure.

Give us a shout if you want one of the last spots!

🥳🥳🥳🥂🥂🥂 Celebrating one year of Walking Netball! 🥂🥂🥂🥳🥳🥳

This week, we’re celebrating the first anniversary of our Walking Netball sessions and the brilliant facilitators who make them possible.

They have created a welcoming, inclusive community where everyone can enjoy netball, move at their own pace, and have plenty of laughs along the way.

But don’t just take our word for it…

“Not played since school, but everyone is very welcoming regardless of ability. Everyone is so encouraging, and I’ve never laughed so much getting a sweat on… could have been the exercise or could be the menopause!”
— Nicola, 49

“Joining Walking Netball has let me keep playing a sport I’ve always loved, just at a gentler pace after injuries. It’s great fun and completely welcoming, no matter your experience or confidence. A brilliant group of women, full of encouragement and plenty of laughter.”
— Louise, 50

“Walk your way to fun!”
— Angie, 58

“I’m not the fittest, BUT it doesn’t matter! I don’t always do the full session, BUT it doesn’t matter! Come and give it a try… it’s FUN!”
— Heather, 76

Whether you’ve never played, haven’t played since school, are returning after an injury or simply want a gentle and sociable way to become more active, you’ll be made very welcome.

No experience or particular fitness level is needed. Come along, take part at your own pace and see what Walking Netball is all about.

Session details are on the poster below. Please help us reach someone who might benefit by sharing this post.

And if you’re looking for a gentler way to stay in the game, why not give our Walking Netball sessions a try?

Go on Brooke! Great achievement, well done xx

We’re delighted to welcome our second summer signing, Brooke Mayall to the Mariners! ✍️

A talented young midfielder who has progressed through the Grimsby Town ETC pathway, Brooke now gets the opportunity to continue her development in the senior environment.

With plenty of drive and passion, alongside her strength in the air and ability to get into the box, Brooke has all the attributes to make an impact at both ends of the pitch.

Welcome, Brooke! 👋

🥳🥳🥂🥂 Celebrating one year of Walking Netball! 🥂🥂🥳🥳

Next week marks the first anniversary of our Walking Netball sessions, and we want to say a huge thank you to the fantastic facilitators who have made them possible.

Over the past year, Fern Tuplin, Ann-Marie Tuplin, and Janine Syborn have created a friendly, welcoming and inclusive space where people can enjoy netball at a gentler pace, become more active, rebuild confidence and meet new people.

But don’t just take our word for it…

💜Introducing Grimsby & District Senior Netball League new logo!💜

Our previous logo holds a special place in the hearts of many in our netball community. It has been part of the league’s story for years, representing friendships, memories and countless games. We know changing it brings mixed feelings, and it will always be part of our history.

Our new design keeps the iconic Grimsby Dock Tower at its heart, maintaining that connection to our local roots as we look towards the league’s future.

We’re especially proud that it was designed by our very own Junior Netballer of the Year, Ruby Mae Blease. It’s lovely to have one of our junior players help shape the identity of a league that means so much to so many.

Thank you, Ruby, for your creativity and contribution. Please join us in giving her some well-deserved recognition!
