Ella Newman's Fishing Adventures

Yesterday was my first visit to Woodhouse Grange for a match on Heron Lake, we had a quick walk round and the info I was told we needed a ripple to hopefully catch some Ide and F1s.
Luckily I'd drawn a peg with a ripple as most parts of the lake were flat calm and that definitely made the lake fish difficult in areas.

I've caught some fish shallow and some down the edge throughout the day to weigh 57lb, I really enjoyed the day great to get out in the sunshine 🌞☀️

My Dad Dilly Dangler won the match with 145lb 👏👏

2nd had 114lb 👏👏

3rd had 61lb 👏👏

I was 4th with 57lb managed to win my section 🎣🎣

Learnt loads and really enjoyed the day ☀️🌞

After a few weeks off I headed over to Wold View Country Park & Fisheries for a club match.

But not without a trip to McDonald’s first for breakfast. 🍳

We were on Gold lake and for once I didn’t draw either side of the bridge! 🎉 instead I drew peg 4. 🐠🐠

It was a great day out in the sun shalla fishing and I weighed in 68lb 2oz!!

Dilly Dangler won with 199lb-12oz
2nd had 134lb
3rd had 104lb
4th had 102lb

A bit of a delayed write up this week!

We headed over bright and early on Sunday morning to the A Bite To Eat Cafe to have a breakfast for champions! 🏆

We then drove up to Messingham Sands Fishery! We were on Island and we had pegs 26 to 45. I drew peg 31 and getting up and down the bank to my peg was definitely a challenge.

I started off short catching a fish a “chuck” putting fish in the net all day! Towards the end we headed down the edge to catch some zoo creatures! 🐠 I fished the match with 42lb 11oz.

I will say the best part of the day had to be beating Mike Newman thanks for the quid dad 😂👛

Today I’ve been over to Messingham Sands Fishery with Car Lane AC!🐠🐠

Headed over for breakfast at A Bite To Eat Cafe before heading just down the road to the fisheries for the draw at 8!

I drew peg 21 and it has fished hard. I weighed in 21lb of mostly little bits and the odd carp. Thank god its been sunny today though made it all worth it 😂☀️

Can’t wait to get back out on the bank in June 🐠☀️

Been back to Wold View again this morning for a few hours, after a slow start it ended up being really good.

I was fishing on the deck with pellets then come shallow to catch an F1 every chuck, also managed the odd carp mugging 😂

Brilliant few hours in the sunshine back out next weekend to Messingham Sands Fishery 🌞🌞

On Sunday I went over to Wold View Fisheries for another match on Silver with Carr Lane AC. 🐠

It was an early start but thank you Mike Newman for the McDonald’s breakfast 🙂 the weather was lovely, I landed some great fish.

I drew Peg 7 which I thought was ideal for me. I had a great day and in the end I weighed in 46lb 9oz. ☀️

I can’t wait to get back out on the bank on the 19th May where I’ll be heading over to Messingham Sand!

Last weekend I went up to Wold View Fisheries for a club match with the Carr Lane AC. 🐠

Was really nice to get back out on the bank again after taking a bit of a break and lucky for us all it seems the sun is coming back out after the brutal temperatures experienced during the winter league.

I drew peg 2 on Gold which was the ideal peg for me. No wind, glorious sunshine however I’m sure those on the other side of the pond may have had a different experience 😂🥶

I weighed in 38lb 3 oz which I was very happy with as my side of the pond did fish quite hard.
