🏆GREENOCK & DISTRICT LADIES FINALS DAY🏆

This Sunday, 30th August, sees the Greenock & District Ladies Championship Finals, with three Lady Alice representatives competing.

Singles: Anna Boyle
Pairs: Linda Phillips & Maureen Metcalfe
Triples: Christine Clocherty, Ellen Wynn & Margaret Hoey

All games get underway at 2pm at Inverkip Bowling Club. Come along and support L.A. Ladies!

We’ve also got a busy weekend of bowls at Lady Alice, with multiple Gents and Ladies club tournament semi-finals and finals taking place. The club will be busy on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, so if you’re looking for somewhere to have a drink and watch some bowls, come along and join us. Hopefully the weather plays its part too.

As the National Finals at Northfield are approaching, here are a few dates and times for anyone wishing to go along and support our players.

First up we have Anna Boyle in the Ladies U25 Singles, who plays Markinch Bowling Club on Monday 10th August at 2:30pm on Green B.

Later in the week, Anna Boyle will also compete in the Ladies Singles, taking on Almond Valley Bowling Club on Thursday 13th August at 4:00pm on Green C.

Also representing Lady Alice are Ellen Wynn, Sandra Munro and Margaret Hoey in the Ladies Triples, who play Cardonald on Thursday 13th August at 12:30pm on Green C.

Good luck to all our players, and to all the other District 26 representatives competing in both the ladies’ and gents’ disciplines.

LADY ALICE BOWLING CLUB OPENING DAY 2026🍻🥂🕺

President John Clocherty would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended our opening day. Despite the weather and the lack of play on the greens, the support from members and invited guests was fantastic and very much appreciated.

A big thank you as well to the bar staff, the ladies who provided the catering, the committee for organising, and to everyone who came along and made the day such a success. Special thanks to singer Ellie Kennedy, who provided great entertainment throughout the day and into the night!
