We open our 2026–2027 league campaign with an away trip to Holt RFC 2s. The squad has put in a huge shift throughout preseason and is ready to start the year with intent, discipline, and a strong performance.

We’re expecting a competitive fixture and are aiming to set the tone for the season ahead.

The RFU has made it clear that, with the current playing conditions, player safety is paramount.

Hard, dry pitches can present just as much of a safety concern as frozen or waterlogged pitches, and conditions must be assessed before rugby takes place.

Please respect our officials and their decision not to officiate a game if they believe the conditions are unsafe. These decisions are never taken lightly and are made with the safety and welfare of players at the forefront.

We are all itching to get the season underway and get back to playing rugby, but we also want to ensure we avoid unnecessary risks and injuries to players.

No one wants to call a game off — but no game is worth risking a player’s safety.
