Calling all Year 7 players! Gonerby is looking for new players to join our Under 12’s squad! We invite eligible players to come along to our training sessions to see if our club is the right fit for you.

𝗨𝟴 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿💙
A competitive encounter saw the U8 Blues produce a brilliant team performance against DLFC Tangerines this morning.

With nothing separating the sides early on, an evenly balanced middle period kept the tension high right down to the wire.

The Blues ultimately produced a grandstand finish in the final ten minutes, driven by three outstanding attacking moments: a brilliant individual forward run, a superb cross-and-shot combination, and an instinctive long-range strike.

However, every single player played their part, and it was their resilience, fortitude, and togetherness throughout the entire contest that truly made the difference.

What a performance from the team today! Traveling away to Pelican , the boys kept pressing and dug deep and kept the resilence high to secure a fantastic 2-1 victory and bring home all three points! 💪⚽

Chris (u12 Blues coach) A massive shoutout to blues Player of the Match, Harry! He was absolute class today—relentless in attack, constantly driving at their defense, and never letting his head drop for a single second.

𝗨𝟭𝟰 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵-𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 💙
Blues Secure Away Victory at Clipstone
The U14 Blues earned a 5-0 victory away at Clipstone in a hard-fought encounter marked by spirited play from both sides.

With Clipstone only having 10 players available, the Blues adjusted their squad to match numbers and play 10v10. The opening half was evenly contested as both teams looked to establish control, but Leo managed to break the deadlock to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage going into the break.

The Blues pressed higher up the pitch in the second half, keeping much of the play in the opposition half. Clipstone's goalkeeper put on a wonderful display to keep the Blues at bay and delay a second goal, but the persistence eventually paid off.

Leo struck again to double the lead, before Eli scored, making a great team move down the right-hand side to make it 3-0.

Arthur then got the goal he was desperate for to add a fourth, and Leo capped off the day with a great strike to complete his hat-trick.

It was a solid overall performance from the team, with Seb earning the Parents’ Player of the Match award for his contribution to the win.

𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗨𝟭𝟭 𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 💛
U11 Yellows welcomed Cotgrave for a home fixture and put in an excellent team performance from start to finish.

There was some really good link-up play throughout the game, with quick one-twos and some excellent movement creating plenty of opportunities. The team played with confidence and showed great understanding, particularly in the final third.

Cotgrave’s goalkeeper produced a brilliant performance and made several excellent saves to keep the game competitive.

There were a couple of brilliant individual performances that really stood out, but the biggest positive was the overall team effort. It was also fantastic to see four different players get on the scoresheet, highlighting the contribution being made across the team.

A very enjoyable performance from the Yellows, with plenty of positives to take into the next game. 💛

The U11 Blues put on a masterclass away at Castle Donington, driven by an incredible work rate, top-tier quality, and a fantastic attitude from start to finish.

From the first whistle, the team set a furious tempo, pressing relentlessly and moving the ball with complete confidence.

The attacking pressure was nonstop, leading to an extraordinary afternoon where the host's woodwork was practically under siege.

Shots rattled off the posts and crossbar time and time again.

It was a dominant, mature team performance that showcased the incredible spirit and talent running through this squad.

What a fantastic day of football as Gonerby Blues went head-to-head with Gonerby Yellows in the South Lincolnshire Development League! 💙💛

All the boys and girls gave absolute 100%, kicking off with fast-paced, high-energy 3v3 matches. Loads of goals, tackles, passing and teamwork, the children thrived on the friendly competition, showing incredible resilience, skill, and brilliant sportsmanship toward their teammates and friends. 🤝🔥

To cap off an incredible morning, both teams came together for one massive 5v5 pitch with all playing for all across the full pitch! The energy was unmatched, and seeing the huge smiles on their faces as they played for the love of the game made it a derby day to remember. 🌟😁

A massive well done to both teams! We are so proud of every single player and wearing Gonerby badge with pride 👏

A fantastic second game for the U11 Lionesses, who delivered a performance they can be incredibly proud of from start to finish. From the opening whistle, the girls played some exceptional passing football, moving the ball with confidence and purpose across the pitch. They showed fantastic energy in every challenge, competing fearlessly in tackles and holding their own brilliant composure throughout a fiercely competitive encounter.

The attacking play was a real highlight, with the team carving out some outstanding chances through sharp teamwork and brilliant movement.

As the match progressed, the players continued to give everything for each other, battling courageously right up to the final whistle. The spirit, determination, and emerging talent on display showed just how bright the future is for this wonderful squad.👏💙💛

The U10 Blues delivered an outstanding performance against WB Colts Wanderers at the recreation ground, leaving their coaches immensely proud of the team's effort. Entering the fixture with a clear directive to maintain intensity and drive, the players embraced the challenge from the opening whistle and sustained that momentum throughout the entire match.

Their proactive approach paid off early as high-pressing play forced errors deep in the opposition half, allowing the Blues to take control of the contest. While WB Colts Wanderers proved resilient and posed a continuous threat to narrow the gap, the Blues maintained their composure, combining relentless energy with sharp decision-making to carry a comfortable lead into the interval.

The second half tested the squad's character. After creating numerous chances without immediate reward and seeing their advantage cut down, the players showed great maturity under pressure. Rather than backing down, they kept their work rate high, chasing every ball and consistently looking to play forward.

Well done Blues on a great game 👏

What a battle for the U9 Blues away at Clifton All Whites! Facing a side that was playing top-tier division football as recently as last week, the team knew they were in for a tough test, but they stood up to the challenge and showed incredible resilience throughout the match.

Aside from one chaotic spell where the opposition capitalised on a sudden lapse in concentration, the Blues played some fantastic football. The spirit in the group shone through in the second half, responding brilliantly to a firm halftime team talk by locking things down, taking control of the game, and pushing forward with real intent.

There were standout performances all over the pitch. Our goalkeeper was exceptional once again, producing a series of outstanding saves alongside top-class distribution to launch our attacks.

Out in the middle, our roving midfielder put on a masterclass, driving the team forward.

It was a performance full of heart, grit, and promising play against very tough opposition. With a potential division reshuffle on the horizon, the team can take massive confidence from how they fought back and competed today. Onwards and upwards, Blues!💙
