Join us for a fantastic day on the water! Saturday September 19, 2026 for a 15:00 START | All Levels Welcome

Cost: The session is £5 per person.

An afternoon of tidal river sailing aboard a club members yacht, departing from Thurrock Yacht Club. This sail offers a classic Thames estuary experience, combining navigating commercial shipping lanes with enjoying the dramatic, industrial-meets-historic backdrop of the river.

What to bring: Layers: A windproof/waterproof jacket is essential. Footwear: Non-marking trainers are ideal - these might get wet Sun Protection: Sunglasses or a hat and sun creamthe water glare is strong.

It was a busy weekend sailing at Erith last weekend with our regular club sailing as well as a trip down river to Greenhithe Sailing Club for the 2026 Thames Inter-Club Dinghy Race.

It was really fun event with our fellow sailors from Gravesend, Thurrock Yacht Club as well as the Cambria Sea Scouts and of course our host Greenhithe.

After being towed down an absolutely calm river Thames by one of our RIBs we had a quick race briefing we were racing in excellent wind and a swift tide.

Come and join us this Sunday for another amazing dinghy race on the historic river Thames. Use the river like very few get too.

Meet us at the club for 11:00. If it’s your first time with us let anyone know and we’ll look after you.

Race starts at 12:00.
High water is 14:00
Tea, biscuits and maybe a cheeky pint in the clubhouse afterwards.

With only one boat with two wins the championship is open for anyone to lift the cup at the end of the season.
