They joined us as Under 8s. Now, while still juniors, they’re playing in our First Team.

On Saturday 12th September Guildford, Spencer Hockey Club and Cardiff Met University HC Met played a series of matches in memory of James Ferguson, watched on by friends and family. The event raised over £3000 for C-R-Y and saw Guildford emerge as winners of the first James Ferguson Invitational Trophy. Presented by James’ dad Hamish to Guildford Hockey Club captain Mike Wood.

James grew up playing hockey at Guildford and returned in his early twenties after a successful university career playing National league hockey Exeter University Hockey Club . After moving to London James joined Spencer Hockey Club whilst staying connected to his wide circle of friends from both university and club hockey. Our thanks to Spencer HC for hosting this opportunity to remember and celebrate James and the fun and laughter he always brought with him.
