ππ©΅ Congratulations, Helena! ππ©΅
Everyone at Barnwood United AFC Pan Disability would like to congratulate our Pan Disability Lead, Helena Cutler, on receiving the Gloucestershire FA 2026 Positive Behaviour Award. π
This recognition is thoroughly deserved. Helenaβs passion, dedication and tireless work have helped create an environment where every player is welcomed, valued and given the opportunity to enjoy football in a safe, inclusive and supportive setting.
While this award rightly recognises Helenaβs incredible commitment, we would also like to say a huge thank you to Sally Cole, whose dedication, support and countless hours behind the scenes help make everything we do possible. The partnership between Helena and Sally has been instrumental in building a programme that puts our players and their families at the heart of everything we do.
Weβre also incredibly grateful to everyone at Barnwood United AFC and Barnwood Utd Female Pathway for there there full support and all of our coaches and volunteers, whose commitment and enthusiasm make Barnwood United AFC Pan Disability the special club it is.
Congratulations once again, Helena, and thank you to Sally and our entire volunteer team for everything you do. This award is richly deserved, and weβre immensely proud of you all. ππ©΅π

We had a fun morning today for our end of season presentation.
We enjoyed a mixed game of rounders before it got too hot, involving all age group players, parents and coaches.
Followed up by burgers and hot dogs of course not forgetting the all important trophies.
All of our team volunteers would like to wish everyone a fabulous summer full of fun, laughter, ice cream and memories.
To the players, parents and coaches thank you for all of your efforts, we wouldnt be who we are with out your commitment to providing all inclusive football to the kids of Gloucestershire.
Its been a brilliant 1st year as Barnwood Owls with 2 second place teams in the West Mids league and an amazing U12s team which is growing stronger and stronger in passion, skills and team bonding each session.
I know the parents and coaches are super proud of you all.
Sadly we do say goodbye to Coach Alex and Raff but they've promised to pop by and see us π’
Next year we grow even bigger and we cannot wait to show everyone what is next for our Owls.
Now we shall hang our boots up for a well deserved rest and we will see you all in Sept π¦

Thank you to our Under 16s teams who came to training today.
We had a really good morning with fun drills, games and a short match against each other.
It was nice to see lots of happy bouncy players today.
Think those 2nd place medals both teams won at Birmingham has made their smiles just a little bit bigger!
We have our next training session planned for Sunday 31st May and hope that all of our players and parents/carers will be able to join us.
If you've been sat watching our posts and have a child who would like to give football a go please do contact us and come along to a FREE trial session.

Comets soaring through this Sunday session!
We had a great game of dishes and domes, then we weaved through cones while practicing our shooting skills with targets. We also took on some hurdle jumping too!
We are so impressed with the hard work, effort, and energy everyone put in today. Keep it up, Comets! π

Match Report β West Midland Inclusion League β½
U12s gave it everything today, narrowly losing 1β0 and 3β2. A brilliant second game with great goals from Alex and Ruby, and strong defending from Dylan, Henry, and Michael. It didnβt quite fall our way, but the effort, teamwork, and attitude were spot on π
All U12 players received a medal to round off a hard-fought season β fully deserved!
Huge congratulations to our U16s:
π΅ U16 Blues (League 1) β Unbeaten and runners-up
π΄ U16 Clarets (Championship) β Unbeaten and runners-up
