Exciting 😆

𝗧𝗵𝗲 “𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴” 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗜𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴
Every few months there’s a new “this is it.”

The supplement that fixes everything.
Cold plunges.
Red light therapy.
Grounding mats.
The perfect mattress.
Greens powders.
Peptides.
The 5am routine.
Applying 30 pegs to your face (joke).

Apparently this one thing is going to sort your back, your energy, your mood, your hormones, your waistline and your life.

Maybe.

But only if your entire life is dialled in… except for that one thing.

Let’s zoom out.

If you’re consistently:

Sleeping well (quality and quantity)

Managing stress

Staying hydrated

Eating a balanced, nutritious diet

Exercising regularly and progressively

…but you’re sat on your 🍑 all day long?

Then yes — moving more through the day could absolutely be the missing piece.

If everything looks solid… except stress?

And you start cold plunging.

What are you actually doing?

You’re carving out time.
You’re focusing on breathing.
You’re regulating your nervous system.
You’re stepping away from your phone.
You’re forcing presence.

It’s not necessarily the cold water that’s the magic.

It’s the pause.

So in that case, that “one thing” might feel transformational.

But it’s filling a gap.

If you generally look after yourself but you’re not exercising?

That’s the missing piece.

If everything looks good but you’re sleeping 5–6 broken hours per night?

That’s the missing piece.

If you’re active but:

Drinking regularly

Eating poorly

Stressed constantly

Sleeping terribly

It’s going to take more than:

A weekly Pilates class
A massage
A Shakti mat
A cold shower
A new wearable
A greens powder
A fancy recovery gadget

To change how you actually feel.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth.

If your lifestyle is chaotic, no single biohack is going to rescue you.

Not Pilates.
Not cold plunges.
Not supplements.
Not a massage once a month.

You don’t need a magic bullet.

You need consistency across the basics.

Now here’s where I’ll slightly contradict myself.

Pilates might be the one thing you need.
Not because it’s magical.

But because it can tick a lot of boxes at once.

When I started Pilates, I was stressed.
My back was killing me.
My nervous system was in overdrive.
I was living life “protecting” my back.

Pilates calmed everything down.

It helped me move again.
Made me more flexible and mobile.
Gave me better control of my body.
Gave me confidence to move again.
Helped me handle stress.

I became more aware of my body.
I moved more through the day — even with a desk job and long hours in the car.

It addressed a lot of things I needed at once.

Was my lifestyle perfect?

No.

My drinking still needed sorting — especially when I got back into rugby 🍺🏉
My sleep hygiene wasn’t brilliant.

But Pilates was life changing because it improved multiple pillars at the same time.

Not because it was trendy.

Not because it was one of the latest fads.

Because it built consistency across the foundations.

If you’re feeling stiff, tired, sore or stuck…

Before chasing the next “holy grail”, zoom out.

Which pillar is actually missing?

Sleep?
Stress?
Nutrition?
Daily movement?
Progressive exercise?
Alcohol?

Small, steady improvements across the board will beat one dramatic intervention every single time.

That’s how you reduce pain.
That’s how you build energy.
That’s how you stay resilient.
That’s how you keep doing the things you care about.

No drama.
No fads.
Just grown-up consistency.

If you want help building that properly — you know where I am.

FREE Online Session...

Well, as free as you want it to be.

I am running a charity fancy dress fundraiser on Saturday 27th December to raise funds for the Cirencester Opportunity Group. 45 mins from 9AM.

You are welcome to join for free - but any contribution no matter how small would be massively appreciated.

COG do amazing, life changing work with children and families. I used to be a trustee of the charity until life got a little too hectic for me to give them the time they deserve.

The session will be fun, and suitable for all levels. Pilates is great for you and will contribute to your moving and feeling better. Win win!

Pilates Christmas Party 2026 was fun & filling

07/12/2025

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

A new 2025 study on office workers found something incredibly simple:

👉 Two 15-minute sessions per week of basic stretching, mobility and body-weight moves
+
👉 Small movement breaks during the day

…led to less neck pain, less lower-back pain, and lower overall discomfort after eight weeks.

No gym.
No long workouts.
Just short, consistent movement.

And the reason the results were so good?
The sessions were short enough that people stuck with them (82% adherence).

Which is exactly why I built my On-Demand Membership the way I did.

Inside you get:

• A Whole Category Of Short Sessions (Brackets 20-30mins, 15-20 mins, under 15 mins)
• A Full Progressive Back Pain Course & Beginner Course For Something Streuctured
• Sports Specific
• Occupation Specific
• Stretch & Mobility
• Weight Loss

Perfect for anyone who sits for work, feels stiff by the afternoon, or wants to improve their back, mobility or overall wellbeing without spending hours training.

Between sessions, all you need are tiny 1–3 minute breaks:
roll the shoulders, arm circles, backbend, forward fold, side bends.
Small resets. Big payoff.

If you want the link to try it for free for 7 days, drop me the word “ACTIVE” and I’ll send it over.

Keep moving.
