The girls were on it from the start and played some really good football. They're starting to put some decent passing patterns together and it’s great to see the work from training starting to come through in games.

Brogan made a great save to keep her clean sheet, while the defence did a brilliant job. The midfield and forwards worked really hard to win the ball back, and our wide players were as good as we’ve been at getting to the byline and cutting the ball back.

Well done girls — great effort and quality all round! 👏🏻💙

Another absolute rollercoaster today against a strong Kennoway side, with Woodside having to show huge character after a really difficult first half.

Kennoway started well and put us under plenty of pressure, but Riley was outstanding in goal 🧤 — big saves, fingertips onto the bar, brave stops at the attacker’s feet… and even taking a boot to the face for his troubles! 🫣👏

Woodside had chances too, with Ezra causing chaos whenever he got space to run, Lennox testing the keeper, and Noah coming agonisingly close.
After half-time. Jay got us moving with a brilliant finish, before Douglas produced one of the moments of the day — a cheeky backheel nutmeg followed by an absolute rocket into the net.
Then came Ezra, twice finding the net and playing a massive part in turning the game around, while Noah capped off a brilliant performance with a goal of his own after already hitting the post earlier. ⭐👏

There were also loads of important work from Coops, Liam, Lennox and T, with boys tracking back and clearing danger when Kennoway pushed hard.

🗣️ Coach Mikey summed it up perfectly:

For long spells the passing was a joy to watch, but the biggest thing was the attitude.
The boys went into half-time with a mountain to climb… But every single one of them believed they could turn it around, And that’s exactly what they did. 💪🏻🔥
