Our Colts squad is hitting the road this weekend for their first run-out of the 2026/27 season. This is a crucial preseason friendly to blow away the cobwebs and get the boys match-ready before the league campaign officially begins.

After the huge success of our last Bottomless Brunch, we’re bringing it back by popular demand! 🎉

Join us at Tor Rugby Club on Saturday 24th October for an afternoon of delicious food, bottomless drinks and great company before cheering on the lads as Tor 1st XV take on Wyvern 1st XV.

Think of it as the perfect pre-match warm-up, gather your friends, enjoy a few drinks, and help create a fantastic atmosphere before getting behind the team from the sidelines.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: THE LUKE PARSONS MEMORIAL MATCH

Rugby is back under the lights at Lowerside Lane! The league season might be delayed, but our grounds team have done a sterling job over the summer and the pitches are in absolute mint condition.

This Friday night, our 1st XV take on Frome 2nd XV (with a few 1s and 3s thrown in, at this point, it’s all about just getting back out there!) for our one and only preseason hit-out and the annual Luke Parsons Memorial Match.

This is always a deeply special fixture on our calendar as we come together as a club family to honour Luke's memory, celebrate his legacy, and cheer on the lads in the Maroon and Navy. Let's get a massive crowd down to bring the noise and get the season started right!

🌟 COACH ANGEL RETURNS TONIGHT! 🏉

Tonight’s girls' rugby session is going to be a big one! We are thrilled to welcome Coach Angel back down to the club for another fantastic training session.

This will be her last session with us for a while before she returns at Christmas, so make sure you come down, get involved, and make the most of her expert coaching!

Whether you are a seasoned player or have never touched a rugby ball, this is the perfect time to come along and give it a try. Our sessions are focused on building confidence, having fun, making friends, and staying active in a great environment.

It is with heavy hearts that Tor Rugby Club announces the passing of a true club legend, Honorary Life Member, and dear friend, Simon Ferriday.

For over 30 years, Simon was the beating heart of Lowerside Lane. From coaching, treasurer, and committee roles, to marking the pitches, managing the bar, and carrying out endless unseen jobs behind the scenes, his dedication to our club was unmatched. Tor Rugby Club simply would not be the place it is today without his tirelessness, passion, and guidance.

Simon’s family have asked us to share the arrangements for the celebration of his life on Wednesday 5th August:

1:45pm – Forsey’s Funeral Directors, Glastonbury: For anyone wishing to pay their respects, please gather outside as Simon begins his journey to the crematorium. (Please note, the crematorium service itself is for close family only).

3:30pm onwards – Tor Rugby Club: Everyone is warmly invited to the club for a relaxed afternoon. We will raise a glass, overlook the pitch he cared for so deeply, and the family will be sharing some wonderful stories and details of his life that many of us may not be aware of.

Dress Code:
In true Simon fashion, please wear something Tor Rugby or Welsh themed, a club jersey, hoodie, tie, Welsh shirt, or simply a splash of red.

Donations:
Family flowers only, please. If you would like to make a donation in Simon’s memory, funds will be split between the British Heart Foundation and the new Tor Rugby Club Infrastructure Fund to carry on his legacy:
