We are hosting our third course and Kyu grading of the year with Sensei Frank Brennan (8th Dan) this Saturday at 11am in the Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre

Please make sure to be ready for 10:45am as the course will start at 11am sharp followed by the grading after a short break

KUGB Summer School at Lancaster 2026 complete!

What an amazing time we had. Fantastic instructors, training with the best Karateka, meeting friends old and new!

Thank you to the KUGB instructors and organisers for a truly amazing course. So much amazing tuition and lots to work on. Great to hang out with our good friends from Largs Karate club!

Day 4 of KUGB Karate Summer School done!

Amazing classes from the two Sensei Brennan's.Today we did Kata Chinte and Gankaku. We also did some partner work and combinations.

Excellent tuition as always from all the KUGB instructors!

Another amazing day of karate!

Today's class from Sensei Caroline McGrath included kata Meikyo and some kumite techniques!

Then back to Sensei Higgins who covered Tekki Nidan and some bunkai!

Also attended the first aid lecture covering fractures and Mental Health first aid!

Exhausting, but a great day!

Day one of KUGB Summer School done! Great to meet up with so many old and new friends!

As always the tuition is excellent, classes today lead by Sensei Billy Higgins (8th Dan) and Sensei Jimmy Brennan (8th Dan) we covered Kata Heian Yondan & Jion. Also several complex combinations with partners.

An excellent day of karate followed by Sensei Billy's legendary quiz where we teamed up with Largs karate club to form a Scottish team! Lots of laughs but no prizes!

On his Graduation today from Glasgow Caledonia University !!
Matthew gained his BA Hons in Business Management.
