Wednesday ground out a tremendous win today vs Muirend. James Johnstone bundled home Scott Reilly’s whipped corner in the first half. Both sides exchanged chances but the boys stood up and defended stoutly. Captain Lewis Watters takes the MOTM award for a resolute and commanding performance at the back.

A tough game away to Lomond Thistle Colts this morning. A poor start left Wednesday trailing 2-0 before Johnstone’s brilliant chip made it 2-1. Two sloppy second half goals left the boys with a mountain to climb. McFarlane crossed for Osborne to make it 4-2 but it was too little, too late. We go again next week.
Mark Praties wins this week’s MOTM after a fully committed performance at centre mid.

A superb win to start off the season. An excellent brace from Oz and a great finish from Scott Reilly on his competitive debut. A MoTM performance from James Johnstone in the engine room. A brilliant foundation for the season ahead!
