An early exit from the K&D Top Ten was confirmed again last night as only our Triples team was able to secure a victory at Kilsyth last night.
We wish Kilsyth well for the remainder of the tournament.

Top 10 first leg report
A disappointing evening for the Club last night as our visitors from Kilsyth triumphed 6-2 with our Rink giving some hope for the second leg next Friday.
Three games were very close as the Singles lost by 21-17, the Kilsyth Triple took a count at the 14th end which turned out to be the winning margin in a game that was tight throughout until that penultimate end.
The Kilsyth Pair were also triumphant while our Rink who led most of the game, finally won 14-12 to keep the Auchinloch flag flying for our trip to Kilsyth.

Some pictures from the CHAS charity day at the Club on Thursday afternoon which was enhanced with good company and pleasant bowling in the sun.
A successful afternoon that raised a considerable sum for the CHAS Bowlers.
Thanks to Robert McKenzie of CHAS for the group photograph.
It was a case of so near but yet so far for our Senior Fours team of Martin, Tommy, David and Bill this afternoon at Bishopbriggs.
The team got off to a steady start and remained in front for most of the game.
The 12th end saw a terrific conversion of 5 shots by Greenfaulds skip Brian Hannah which reduced our lead to 12-8. Our opponents took inspiration from this swing in fortunes and dominated the remaining ends to secure what seemed a very unlikely victory for most of the game.
We congratulate the Greenfaulds team on their success and wish them all the best in their semi final next Tuesday afternoon.
Good luck to our Gents Senior Fours team of Martin Walker, Tommy Gallagher, David Calder and Bill Kerr who meet Greenfaulds in the K&D quarter final at Bishopbriggs on Tuesday 30th July at 1.30pm.
Gents K&D Report
A good result in the afternoon today with an 18-13 victory for the Club over Milton of Campsie in the Over 55 Fours at Banton.
Our team consisting of Martin Walker, Tommy Gallagher, David Calder and Bill Kerr started well and led 6-0 after 4 ends. The Milton of Campsie team responded strongly to lead 10-6 after 8.
The 9th end saw Auchinloch score a 7 which turned the game in their favour and they stayed ahead for the remainder of the game.
Commiserations to our Pairs team of Grant and Brian Kidd who lost out to Gartcosh in a close game at Woodilee in the evening.
Winning 9-8 after 13 ends they were unlucky to lose the final 4 ends with the Gartcosh skip converting each time.
We wish the Gartcosh pairing good luck with the remainder of the competition.

Some more pictures from the Howden invitation Fours competition held on Saturday.

A superb day at our invitation Fours competition sponsored by Howden, Insurance Brokers. After the heavy rain on Friday which put paid to all the Club’s scheduled League games, we were fortunate to have a bright sunny day to complete the tournament without any weather issues.
The Winners of the Competition were the Woodilee Team skipped by David Munro.
Runners up were from Stoneyetts skipped by Peter Wood.
The other semi-finalists were Auchinloch teams skipped by Ken Middlemas and Gordon McGill.
Thanks to our Match Secretary John Deans for his diligence and patience in organising such a successful event and to our Sponsors Howden whose backing was greatly appreciated by the Club.
