Giffnock Bowling Club

Last Sunday the weather stayed dry to allow 50 members to play in our annual Centenary Triples competition sponsored by Kevin Baumann. It was a sociable and friendly afternoon and an amazing £450 was collected for Kevin's chosen charity, Beatson Cancer. Well done everyone.

It is not too late to enter our Open Pairs competition at the end of June, but you need to get your entry in NOW. We have 42 confirmed entries and only 6 spaces remain. You are guaranteed 5 games of 5 ends before the section winners move to the quarter finals.

Our first Try Bowls is on Saturday 9th May. Spread the word. If you have a friend or neighbour who is interested in trying what it is all about, tell them to get in touch.

Well done to everyone who joined us at our monthly coffee & catchup afternoons over the winter. We raised an amazing £355 to donate to 5 different charities. This month's collection went to Starter Packs a local charity who provide essential items to adults and families being rehoused. As well as money, your donations are welcomed by them - clothing, furniture, books, toys, electrical good etc.

Last Coffee, Cake and Chat before the bowling season starts. Join us in the clubhouse on Tuesday 17th March, 2 to 4pm. Bring a friend. Non-members welcome.
