Full Day of Eating at 6 Days Out 🏆

A little more food to bring the physique back to life for the next few days before we dry it out for Sunday.

Nothing crazy being done for "peak week" which is a mistake I've made in the past.

Cannot emphasise enough the reduction in stress following the guidance of a coach this time around compared to coaching myself through previous preps 🧠

3 years from left to right.

Social media portrays that success is overnight and linear.

I stepped off the Granite City Classic stage in 2023 feeling like I didn't belong there (I didn't I looked terrible) and in any moment like that you have two ways to move forward; you give up and try something else or you use that feeling as fuel to become better.

3 years on and we're still a work in progress but we're definitely a lot better.

Failing is a part of progress, giving up is not.

4 months work with IFBB Pro Andy Scott 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦍

15kg dropped and a fair bit of graft between the two.

I think this is the whole "leading from the front" and "walking the walk" stuff that people bang on about as coaches 🤔

Week 18/26

It's almost time to kick off the 2026 season. Trying not to wish the time away and enjoy each part of the process.

This is the hard bit of a prep, where you're close enough to see the finish line but far enough away that the hardest parts aren't over yet.

This is the bit that counts.

5 opinions that no one asked for:

1. Most people who start selling coaching aren't doing it because they care about helping people. They saw content creators making money online and thought "I could do that." That's why the industry is full of noise and short on people who actually give a damn about your results.

2. A lot of people go to the gym because they feel like they "should," not because they want to or enjoy it. That's exactly why so many people quit. You can't force discipline on something you resent fundamentally. The gym isn't for everyone, don't be scared to find a form of exercise you can truly fall in love with.

3. Weight loss injections serve a purpose, but they don't solve the problem. They treat the symptom. The habits, the relationship with food, the lack of structure, none of that goes away just because the number on the scale does.

4. Someone in shape wearing a £3 Primark t-shirt will look better than someone out of shape in £3000 of designer clothes, every single time.

5. The real reason most people never work with a coach isn't money. It's fear. Fear of trying and failing publicly. So they just... never try. And staying stuck feels safer than risking it not working.
