Good morning all … we’re all ready and gearing up for our 2nd weekend of competition in our Club Championships and looking forward to some great title deciders.

This is the updated Schedule of Play for our second weekend of Club Finals …. Hope the weather is as nice as last week. Good luck everyone 👏👏👏

Hi everyone … schedule for the next two weekends of Club Finals is attached.

The date for the Gents Presidents Singles between Alex Liddell and Jamie MacPherson has still to be advised.

Margaret Robertson & Jim Peden are in the Final of the Mixed Pairs and are waiting for the other half of the draw to be completed. Details of that Final will be advised asap.

Hope as many as can will pop along - We’ll be very pleased to see you and welcoming everyone to our Finals … 😊

It’s gonna be a busy week … fingers crossed that it’ll be a successful one for our Queens Park girls 🙏🏻👏

What a difference the sun can make to our lives!

Our members are enjoying the wonderful weather and spending some quality time at our ‘relaxing sanctuary’ with their bowling friends.

Why not pop in for a wee visit - Monday evenings from 6.30pm, Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm and when competitions are not on - some members enjoy a Saturday/Sunday get together from approx 1.30pm.

Whether it be to try a game of bowls, a friendly chat, a cuppa or a refreshment - we’ll be pleased to see you.

Yesterday we welcomed visitors from Holland for a wee tester session - (thanks to our member Mary Scott for the Coaching lesson) and they were pleased to know that there is a bowling facility located in the Haarlem area of their country - and they’ll be seeking it out on their return home 😊

It’s nearly time … and we’re looking forward to welcoming you all to Queens Park Bowling Club on Saturday 11th July to help us raise some much needed funds for the Cojac Centre in Castlemilk.

Fund raising has been going on at our club for a good few weeks now by our ‘Highland & Lowlanders’ - the charitable arm at our club - led this year by our ‘Chieftain’ Harry Murtagh - and he is looking forward to welcoming you 😊

Tickets are priced at £5 and are available from our club - this includes BBQ - Burger/Hotdog + Soft Drink/Tea/Coffee.

‘Try bowls’ too if you want and to keep kids happy (Under 11’s) there will be a Bouncy Castle! Raffles £1 per ticket or 6 for £5 *Any donations of prizes are welcome and the bar will be open for refreshments.

Doors Open at 1.30pm and Bowls Game starts at pm - with food available from 5pm.

We look forward to seeing you - and thank you for your support for this very worthy cause .

Thank you to everyone who visited our first ever Plant Sale and made it a such a great success … it certainly won’t be our last!
