Queen's Park Bowling Club

It’s nearly time … and we’re looking forward to welcoming you all to Queens Park Bowling Club on Saturday 11th July to help us raise some much needed funds for the Cojac Centre in Castlemilk.

Fund raising has been going on at our club for a good few weeks now by our ‘Highland & Lowlanders’ - the charitable arm at our club - led this year by our ‘Chieftain’ Harry Murtagh - and he is looking forward to welcoming you 😊

Tickets are priced at £5 and are available from our club - this includes BBQ - Burger/Hotdog + Soft Drink/Tea/Coffee.

‘Try bowls’ too if you want and to keep kids happy (Under 11’s) there will be a Bouncy Castle! Raffles £1 per ticket or 6 for £5 *Any donations of prizes are welcome and the bar will be open for refreshments.

Doors Open at 1.30pm and Bowls Game starts at pm - with food available from 5pm.

We look forward to seeing you - and thank you for your support for this very worthy cause .

Queens Park Bowling Club have a charitable arm structure within our club - called the “Highlands & Lowlanders” and we hold annual events within our premises which are attended by anyone who wants to come along to support our chosen Charity for each specific year/event!

A ‘Chieftain’ is elected annually from our membership to take charge of the proceedings and promote our fundraising campaigns.

This year, under the leadership of HARRY MURTAGH, he is proud to nominate and support the locally based Castlemilk CENTRE who will be the recipients of our fundraising efforts.

THE QUEENS PARK HIGHLAND & LOWLANDERS CHARITY DAY will take place on SATURDAY 11th July 2026.

We’re now on the count down to our first ever PLANT SALE at our Bowling Club - thanks to the brainchild of our resident Bowlers and of course - dedicated gardeners Mary & Hazel.

Both Ladies are successful bowlers in their own right and have made the surrounding at our club a colourful treasuretrove and a delight to behold!

They def do a power of work … because it a very large area to maintain their high standards.

At next Sunday’s Plant Sale there’s a great variety of plants available …. PLUS lots have been potted into some decorated plant holders which are also available to purchase.

With a little bit of heat in the air now … our ‘specimens’ are definitely looking their best and just wondering where their new home could be come Sunday 5th …. DONT MISS OUT - everything is very reasonably priced …so we’re looking forward to welcoming you 😊
