FULL-TIME | LEAGUE CUP 🏆⚽️

A really good game of football between ourselves and Braehead Football Club in our final League Cup group game yesterday.

Braehead came out strong and found themselves 2-0 up at half-time, with a deflected own goal and then a defensive mistake which the Braehead forward took full advantage of.

We made a few changes at half-time and quickly found ourselves back in the game, with Robbie going through on goal and finishing well to make it 2-1. Daniel then came close on a few occasions, but the Braehead goalkeeper made some important saves to keep his team in front.

Braehead restored their two-goal advantage to make it 3-1, but the boys didn't let their heads go down and continued to push.

We pulled another goal back with a fantastic team goal. The ball was played out from the back into Wills in central midfield, who first-time pinged it out wide to Robbie. Robbie took on his defender before delivering a fantastic cross into the box, where Lewis arrived to power home a bullet header and make it 3-2. 🔥⚽️

We then had Braehead on the ropes with another great opportunity. Lewis' shot was blocked, with the ball falling to Jude, whose effort was also blocked by the keeper to keep the score at 3-2.

Overall, a really good game of football between two teams who played the game in the right manner and tried to play football the way it should be played.

Well done to Braehead, who finish top of the group and progress through to the semi-finals.

I'm sure we'll have plenty more good games between these two teams throughout the season. 🤝🏻

A tough one to take last night,. Milngavie definitely got away with one, with the 3-1 scoreline flattering them.

We gifted Milngavie the opener in the early stages of the game, before Logue got us back into it with a fantastic strike into the bottom corner from outside the box. ⚽️

We created some great chances either side of half time to get ourselves back into the game and make it 2-2, which would have really put Milngavie under pressure. Unfortunately, the ball just wouldn’t go in for us, after hitting the post twice and and having a shot saved on the line, while creating lots of other chances

Milngavie grabbed a third with a well worked move to make it 3-1, but the boys never gave up and kept fighting right until the final whistle. We were unlucky not to grab a second and give ourselves a chance of getting something from the game.

On another night, we definitely would have got more from the game, but we need to move on quickly, learn from tonight and focus on the positives.

All focus now turns to training on Thursday as we prepare for Saturday’s game against West Park.

A strong performance from the boys this morning in our opening game of the season. 👏🏼

Some really nice football on display, with every boy pushing each other on and not giving Condorrat a second to settle.

A clean sheet at one end and 7 well-taken goals at the other — a fantastic way to start the season! 🔥

⚽🏆 SUMMER INTERNATIONAL CUP 🏆⚽

The team head to Giffnock Soccer Centre today for the Summer International Cup.

A great test for the boys as part of our pre-season preparations, with the chance to play against some quality opposition before our league season kicks off next weekend.

Time to put all the hard work from pre-season into action and see how we’re shaping up! 💪🔥
