NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 5

Sadly today was the end of the national championships for Hyndland for 2026.

Peter Murray unfortunately lost out 21-9 this morning and our pair of Darren Gualtieri and Ryan Gualtieri also fell at the quarter final stage to a good Kirkliston pair.

We would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to come down and support the players all week.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 4

Another great win for our pair of Darren and Ryan who progressed to tomorrow’s quarter final match against Kirkliston after a convincing win against Abbey. They will be on Green A, Rink 2 at 12.00pm tomorrow.

It was a nice double as Peter Murray had a good opening win against Campbeltown’s Lee Allen which now sets up a second round match with Barry McGregor of Burnhead on Green C, Rink 5 at 9.30am tomorrow morning.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 3

It was a winning start for the Hyndland pair of Darren Gualtieri and Ryan Gualtieri against a spirited Alloa East End team.

Locked at 10-10 after 14 ends, the boys scored back to back pairs to give them a 4 shot cushion going up the final end which they managed to see out.

They now play Abbey BC at 3.30pm tomorrow. Green A, Rink 6.

Also starting his campaign is Peter Murray who faces off against Campbelltown’s Lee Allan. They kick off at 4.00pm on Green D, Rink 3.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 2

Unfortunately it was not to be for Drew Murdoch in his second round match against Auchinleck’s George Robertson.

In what was a tight game for the majority, George played some killer last bowls to win 21-16.

A terrific effort from Drew the last two days!

Tomorrow our attention turns to Darren and Ryan Gualtieri who begin their pairs journey with a game again Alloa East End. They will play on Green E, Rink 5 at 4.00pm.
