The countdown is ON! With our first game in the new West 1 league this Sunday, tonight’s session was all about bringing the intensity! 💪🏉
A massive welcome back to Adam, our former coach, who brought his trademark intensity back to training with a contact drill that’s guaranteed to leave a few sore bodies in the morning! 😤💥 We’re absolutely thrilled to have him back on board as we take on this exciting new challenge!
Our U18s were back with us too. They now train alongside our women every week, getting stuck into senior sessions and developing their skills. Tonight, they got a tackle masterclass from Head Coach Steven, going right back to basics. 🏉
We also welcomed our local neighbours from Women’s Touch team, who are looking to make the move into contact rugby. They jumped straight into the tackling session and got stuck in! 💪 We’re delighted to have them along and look forward to seeing them at future sessions.

That’s a wrap on preseason! Yesterday we welcomed Bishopton to Lenzie for our final preseason game before the league kicks off on Sunday 6th September, at home against Hills.
Bishopton will be joining us in the league next season, so it was a great test and gave us plenty to take away and work on as we head into the season.
Our Player of the Match, Shannon, shared:
“It was so good to be back playing on the Lenzie pitch, especially for our first home game of the season!
It was a great opportunity for us to work as a team and test out some new game plays. I thought the whole team worked hard, and it was great to see all the hard work starting to come together.
There’s still plenty for us to build on, but I’m really excited to keep improving together as the season gets going! 🏉💙❤️”

A huge congratulations to Emma, who was selected as our Player of the Match following Sunday’s pre-season fixture away to Strathaven! 👏💙❤️
Reflecting on the match, Emma said:
“It was so good to get back on the pitch after a couple of months off, especially with a trip away to Strathaven. They’re always a pleasure to play against, and I had so much fun overall. It was a great opportunity to try out some of the things we’ve been working on throughout pre-season, and I think everyone played really well. It was great to see all the hard work starting to come together, and I’m excited to keep building as the season gets going.”

What a way to kick off pre-season💪🏉
A huge thank you to Strathaven Rugby Football Club for hosting us today and for a fantastic first hit-out of the season. It was the perfect opportunity for both teams to blow the cobwebs off ahead of what’s sure to be an exciting year, with both clubs stepping up a league next season.
A special congratulations to our two debutants, Katie and Emma, who pulled on the Lenzie jersey for the first time today. We hope it’s the first of many! 💙💛❤️

🚨 BIG NEWS 🚨
The 2026/27 fixtures are confirmed... and we've got even more exciting news to share!
After an incredible season that saw our Women's Team finish 2nd in West Division 2 and lift the National Plate trophy, their hard work has been rewarded with promotion to West Division 1 thanks to a league restructure! 👏🏆
It seems 2nd place is our lucky number after all! 😅
We're incredibly proud of everything this squad achieved last season and can't wait to see them test themselves against new opposition in West Division 1. A big challenge awaits, but we're ready for it!
