What a night of bowling! 👏🏻💪

Six players took to the green this evening, all battling it out for just TWO coveted places… and it went right down to the VERY LAST BOWL to decide who would progress! Talk about leaving it late!

🏆 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Lennon Hamilton & Jamie Freeman, who secured their places and will now represent us at Abbeyview on Sunday 18th October! 👏🏻🔥

They’ll face the following opponents :

A massive well done to both lads on getting through — now it’s time to go and show them what you can do! 💪💥

👏🏻 A special shoutout to Kyle McCabe, Danny Brown, Jayden Crichton & Taylor Crichton, who all put in a great display of bowling tonight. The standard was high, the pressure was on, and every bowl counted! 👏🏻👏🏻

The season got underway in earnest today as our Ladies side travelled to Glasgow to play Cumbernauld in the Scottish Cup.

A fantastic display saw our Girls take the tie and now face Glasgow at Whiteinch in a few weeks time.

Well done 💜💜

The West of Scotland Indoor Bowling Club is deeply saddened to hear the news of Mary Stevenson’s passing.

Mary was an inspiration to all bowlers of all Abilities. With a cheeky smile and unwavering grit, she was everything you’d want of a competitor playing for our country.

We lived every bowl during that epic final in which Mary became Commonwealth champion 🥇 It was most certainly, thee moment of the Games for our sport.

Our thoughts are with Mary’s family, friends, teammates & club mates at this difficult time.

May you shine on the brightest clouds above Mary.

Rest in peace

We’ve been digital for some time and we’re encouraging as many members as possible to use this platform we pay for to check fixtures, results and national ties when they get underway. It’s also a great tool to find contact details for opponents or finding subs.

So if you’re a member of the club, send a DM for your login details or ask at the office and follow the instructions on the pic below ⬇️

Thanks & Enjoy ☺️

A huge congratulations to club Secretary Neil McMonagle on becoming President of the Scottish Youth Indoor Bowling Association (SYIBA)! 🎖️🥇

With over 30 years of dedicated service to the sport of bowls, Neil’s commitment and contribution to youth bowls is truly something to celebrate. 👏

Neil now takes on the prestigious role of President of Indoor Youth Bowls, following on from his previous presidency of the former Scottish Youth Bowling Association (SYBA) outdoor association.

A fantastic achievement and a fitting recognition of many years of dedication to developing and supporting young bowlers not only at West of Scotland IBC and local clubs outdoor but across Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 👌

Congratulations Neil — a very well-deserved honour! 👏👏
