This weeks fixtures:

Another busy week with more semi finals and finals taking place throughout the week. Why not come down and watch some more great matches across the week.

We also have our Mixed Ryder Cup on Saturday from 12pm and we have 49 names entered already, another 3 would make it even throughout the 4 teams, please put your name up by Friday night where the sheet will come down.

Congratulations to Alison Boyd who made it 3 Ladies Monklands Singles titles in a row yesterday with a 21-8 win at Victoria BC against Springwells. Another great performance yesterday to what already has been a great season with the Club Championship final still to play as well. Well done Alison, well deserved!

Yesterday we held another finals day with 2 matches taking place; the Victory Cup and the Vice Presidents Trophy.

Congratulations to Ken Coats who managed to win in a close fought match. Commiserations to the runner up Richard Wright.

In the Vice Presidents Martin McCarthy started well moving in to a good lead. Gary Marr fought back well but Martin got over the line to take the win. Congratulations Martin and commiserations Gary.

Thank you to all who turned up to watch and support the guys yesterday, i'm sure it was very much appreciated by all playing.

We still have lots of semi finals and finals to take place over the next week or so, look out for a post of all the fixtures upcoming shortly!

Today we have two finals taking place at 2pm.

In the Victory Cup it's Richard Wright v Ken Coats, and in the VPs final it's Martin McCarthy v Gary Marr.

On Thursday night in the Victory Cup Richard Wright won through against Graeme MacDougall. In the Vice Presidents Martin McCarthy won through against Gordon Smart.

On Friday night in the gents Championship Stuart Cullen won through against Jim Scobie.

On Saturday we held our first finals day with a few semi finals taking place as well.
Congratulations to our new Gents Champion for 2026 Stuart Cullen! Well done to Stuart on winning his first Championship in a close fought match. Commiserations to the runner up Stuart Scobie.
Congratulations to our Ladies Vice Presidents winner Therese Houston and commiserations to the runner-up Betty Trainor.
In the Ladies Presidents semi final Debbie Horn won through against Elaine Torry, whilst in the Gents Balloted Pairs Robert McLean & Graeme MacDougall won through against Robbie Rennick & Richard Wright.

Fixtures for this week:

Tonight the Gents Top 5 are in action in the rearranged game at Springboig against Baillieston.
The Ladies also have their rearranged 4 Bowl Balloted Pairs tie featuring Alison Boyd & Anna Cameron v Carol-Ann Frame & Therese Houston.

On Tuesday night we have our other Mixed Pairs Semi Final featuring Lesley Trainor & Raffi Parisi v Alison Boyd & Robert Boyd.

On Wednesday we have the Ladies Semi Final of the Presidents Trophy at 10.30am. At 6pm we have the Gents VP semi final Tom Symons v Gary Marr.

On Thursday we have both of our Ladies Championship semi finals. Debbie Horn v Laura McCabe & Alison Boyd v Veronica Allison from 6pm.

On Friday night we have both of our Gents President's Trophy semi finals. Graeme MacDougall v Lee Graham and Ian Horn v William Charters Jnr from 6pm.

On Saturday Alison Boyd is in the Ladies Monklands Singles Final at Victoria BC against Springwells.

Good luck to our competitors that have made it through to our first Finals Day tomorrow. We have two Finals and two Semi Finals taking place at 2pm. Why not come along and watch some great bowls tomorrow afternoon.

So far this week:

On Monday night in some torrential weather for the Ladies Margaret Morrison Triples it wasn't to be unfortunately.

On Tuesday night - Alison Boyd in the Singles and the Triples both won in the Ladies Monklands and now move on to the semi final this Saturday.
In club competitions: in the Championship Stuart Scobie bt Willie Charters to move through to Saturday Final. Ken Coats bt William Charters Jnr in the Victory cup to move through to that final.

On Wednesday unfortunately Graeme MacDougall was down 21-18 against John Scoular in the Monklands Senior Singles Final.
At night it was another wash out with some torrential rain flooding our green and Springboigs meaning our Gents Championship semi final, the Ladies Pairs Semi final and our Gents GBA Top 5 were all postponed.
Championship semi final will be played on Friday night at 6pm, with the Ladies and GBA Top 5 being played on Monday night instead.

Tonight hopefully with the weather looking a bit better we hope to have all 3 semi finals taking place;

The Ladies Monklands are on at 6.30pm. Alison Boyd in the Singles v Garrowhill on Calderbank. The Triples of Karen Fitzsimmons, Veronica Allison & Alison Noon play Caldercraig at Springwells (6.30pm)

Wednesday 19th:
Championship Semi Final: Stuart Cullen v Jim Scobie
Gents Monklands Senior Singles - Graeme MacDougall is playing in the final at Coatbridge Victoria against John Scoular of Coatdyke at 1.30pm. Graeme is going for his 5th consecutive championship in the competition.
Gents Top 5 Singles we play against Baillieston at Springboig, starting at 6pm.
We also have some Ladies Semi Finals taking place. In the Balloted 4-Bowl Pairs we have Carol Ann Frame & Therese Houston v Alison Boyd & Anna Cameron.

Thursday 20th:

We will also hope to play the Gents Championship Final on Saturday as well.
