Wonderful finals day at Stepps BC and a great turn out of members and friends to support the players.
🏆Junior final - Joshua Kelly vs Jamie Coleman. Fantastic display of bowls from these two young players , with 15 year old Joshua completing a deserved win over 3 time junior champion Jamie. Congratulations!
🏆Handicap - John Shaw vs Gerry Campbell. After a good playing season, John ran out a worthy winner with some great bowling.
🏆Ladies final - Mhari McLean vs Jenny MacDonald, both previous winners. Both players well matched and delivered some lovely bowls, but Mhari’s resilience on this occasion got her over the line with points to spare.
🏆Vice President trophy - past club champion Ian Boyle vs club stalwart Jim Macaulay. Again, a great game with some super bowling which saw Ian take the trophy home. Well done.
🏆Club singles championship - two time club champion Martin Moore vs Nick Moncur ( who had played super bowls in his quarter final and semi final matches) . This final was eagerly anticipated by the large turnout present in the afternoon sunshine. However, Martin had brought his ‘A’ game to the green and despite a spirited effort by Nicky , our man Martin completed his 3rd title as club champion. Well done to both players.
Big thank you to all those was came along today and enjoyed some terrific bowling. # love bowls.

Marie Curie Charity day held at Stepps Bowling Club on Thursday 27 August 2026 raised the sum of £340. A huge thank you to all those who attended today , both male and female, who contributed to the success of the event.

We had 16 members turn up to take part in the annual Bob Brownlee Trophy. The trophy was donated by the Brownlee family in rocognition of one of the most decorated players in the history of the club (Bob won 10 club championships over his time at the club). The order of the day was pairs and the winners were the pair with the highest winning score over 16 ends.
This years winners of the trophy were Lesley Lawrenson and Robin McDonald. We’ll played guys!
