Over the last few weeks, as more people have learned about our vision for the Community & Sports Hub, we’ve received lots of questions and feedback.

We genuinely welcome that.
Some concerns appear to be based on misunderstandings or assumptions, so over our next few posts we’ll be addressing them openly and sharing the facts.

Some of the topics we’ll be covering include:
• Accessibility across the site
• The public path through the Gala Day Pitches
• Working alongside existing community organisations and charities
• Funding and how the project complements, rather than competes with, others
We’re committed to being open, transparent and ensuring everyone has access to accurate information.

What a special day at St Patrick’s Sports Academy 💚🍀

Today we held our annual Joe McAneny Memorial Cup 🏆

As always, the highlight was having Joe’s wife and two sons with us. You’ll always be part of the St Patrick’s Sports Academy family.

Made even more special as it was Father’s Day. We had sunshine, smiles, laughter… and a few happy tears too, remembering the good times we shared with Joe.

Big shout out to our 2009s, 2009s Greens, and 2010s who gave everything on the pitch today 👏 And thank you to every parent, coach, and supporter who turned up to make it such a special event.

WHAT A NIGHT 💚

St Patrick’s Sports Academy 2009s Player of the Year Awards — absolutely buzzing, full of pride and great memories.

But it was bittersweet too 😢 as we said farewell to our left back, Calvin!

This boy did well on the night — picking up BOTH Joint Coaches’ Player of the Year AND Players’ Player of the Year 🏆🏆
That says it all.

What can we say about Calvin? He’s the ultimate team player. Always has his teammates’ backs. The boy would run through a brick wall for you. Heart, fight, and St Pat’s DNA written all over him 👊

It’s been a pleasure coaching you, Calvin — you kept us on our toes, that’s for sure lol 😄
You’ve got the potential to do anything you put your mind to, and we can’t wait to watch you smash it.

St Patrick’s Sports Academy 2009s were on Cup Final duty last night against our friends EKRR.

What a final it was. End to end, with both teams going for it from the first whistle.

We knew this would be a tough game. The league fixtures between us were played to an excellent standard, and this was no different.

EKRR started fast and put us under pressure early. It took the boys a bit longer than we’d have liked to settle, but once we did, it was end to end. Both sides had chances, and we went in at half time 0-0.

The second half picked up right where the first left off.

A cracking game of football for any neutral and a great advert for the league — both teams trying to play proper football.

Chances came for both sides, and on 55 minutes a cross came in and Big Sean rose with a brilliant header to make it 1-0!

Credit to EKRR, they never gave up and kept coming at us, just as we kept pushing for a second.

That’s the Double secured and trophy number 20 for this group from U13s to U17s 🏆🍀*

Unbelievable achievement from the boys. Proud of every single one of them.

Caledonian Cup Final vs our friends EKRR — and if you’ve seen these two before, you know it’s always a cracker.

No plans Sunday night? Change that. Get yourself down to Bothwellhaugh for a 6:30pm kick-off and get right behind the boys

Let’s pack the sideline and send the 09s off in style!

St Patrick's Sports Academy kit reached new heights today - all the way to the top of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK!
Big shout to 2009s Caleb and Jamie for taking it up with them while doing the climb in aid of St Andrew's Hospice.
Well done to all our other players who were climbing today too.
