On Wednesday of last week, it was the Springburn Harriers Running & Athletics Club Bishopbriggs 5 Miler ⛴️ well done to Eilidh Lockhart 41:25 PB 🤩 & Simon Wells 51:13 👏

It was the August 3k on the Green on Friday, of course labelled as 'The Best Wee Race in Scotland' 🌳 this was one of our 'short' Club Championship events, and we had a great group of Bellas running with Jordan Davidson 9:53 3rd🥉Sam Ramsay 10:47, Jamie Wieland 11:26, David Pattison 12:01, Pauline Wright 13:35, Pauline Bradley 15:24, Gayle McKay 15:34, Mandy Morgan 15:35, Lucy MacKay 16:23, Lynne Goldie 17:20 👏

It was a warm one on Saturday for the 18th Highland Fling Race 85k Ultra Trail, from Milgavie to Tyndrum ⛰️ our Mighty Murphys were participating on the tough course, that includes around 2,300m of ascent 🥵 great performances as usual by Grant 10:02:00 & Iain 10:48:01 🫡

It's our annual parkrun volunteer takeover this Saturday, 5th September, at Pollok 🌳 we'll have over 20 members helping and encouraging the field 👏 we had a good number out on Saturday past, including ⬇️

What a day! Our members were treated to a training day led by the fantastic Nick Anderson from Runningwithus 🤩

Nick took us through our paces with a park session in the morning and very informative and engaging talks in the afternoon 💜

Summer maybe drawing down, but the races just keep on coming 😎

Very well done to the dynamic duo of Christine Milligan 7:01:58 & Lynne Goldie 7:39:53 at the Breaking Strain 50k 'Run the Borders Ultra' from Melrose to Jedburgh on Saturday ⛰️🤩 a fantastic effort on a lovely day, with great Bella support too 💜🤍🖤

It was our the penultimate 'Off-Road' Club Championship race at the brilliant 7 Mile Tom Robb Memorial Trail Race in the Carron Valley Forest on Saturday 🌲 a lovely morning for it and great going by our brilliant contingent of Brian Mulgrew 46:21, Alice Howe 1:05:56, Fiona Birrell 1:06:50, Roz Wilson 1:07:23, Lynn Stuart 1:09:52 👏

It was the Glasgow FrontRunners OUTrun 5 Miler at Kelvingrove Park on Saturday morning 🌈🌳 very well done to Ben Nurse, who was 2nd in 28:35🥈

Our Oscar Coetzee was in Rothesay on Saturday for the Bute Highland Games 10k 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 a great 2nd place in 33:02 🥈

There was also another Up and Running Events at Bellahouston Park on Saturday 🌳 in the 10k, well done to Kelly Taylor 40:16 1st lady🥇🥳 Gerry Scullion 42:52, Lucy Prior 45:45 👏

It was the SCURRY EVENTS, Trail Runs and Multisport events 'Devilla Forest Trail Races' on Sunday 🌲 in the Half Marathon, there was a brilliant run by the brilliant Jordan Davidson for 2nd place in 1:24:39🥈 in the 10k, our final Off-Road CC race this season, the equally impressive Simon Wells finished 2nd in 38:58 🥈

Sunday was also the North Lanarkshire Half Marathon 🏭 well done to our sole Bella, Calum Brown, who ran a great 1:29:25 👏

And well done this week to our parkrun faithful, inc. 🌳

On Friday 14th August, it was the Up and Running Events Pollok Park 10k 🌳 well done to Ronnie Hart who was 1st MV50 in 41:37🥇with Gerry Scullion 2nd MV60 in 43:50🥈
