🌡️☀️ EXTREME HEAT WARNING FOR OUR MALTESE FRIENDS ☀️🌡️

With temperatures soaring, it’s important to remember that our beautiful Maltese dogs can struggle in hot weather. Their small size and fluffy coats can make it difficult for them to stay cool, so please take extra care during this heatwave.

🐾 Keep walks to the cooler parts of the day – early morning or late evening.

🏠 Stay indoors or in shaded areas between 11am and 3pm, when the sun is at its strongest.

💧 Encourage plenty of drinking. Make sure fresh, cool water is always available and consider placing extra water bowls around the house and garden.

❄️ Cooling mats can provide a comfortable place for your Maltese to rest and help regulate their body temperature.

🍦 Frozen licky mats are a fantastic cooling treat! Try spreading dog-safe yoghurt, mashed banana, or wet food onto a licky mat and freezing it for a refreshing snack.

🌳 If outside, always provide access to shade and never leave your dog in a parked car, even for a few minutes.

⚠️ Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, lethargy, drooling, vomiting, or difficulty breathing. If you notice these symptoms, seek veterinary advice immediately.

I want to reassure you that if your holiday is affected, I will waive the non-refundable policy on all deposits. You’ll have the option to either use your deposit toward a future booking or receive a full refund—whichever suits you best.

I know how disappointing it is when a holiday doesn’t go ahead as planned, and I don’t believe in adding to anyone’s frustration at a time like that.
