British Bowls | Bowls Scotland 2026 The 2026 British Bowls Internationals will be held at the National Centre for Bowling, Scotland from Thursday 25th - Sunday 28th June.

BEREAVEMENT NOTICE

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jean Laird. Jean was a great supporter of the club, especially when her husband was a member. He was president of the club in 1990 and she was a great support to him during his presidential year.

Jean was a regular attendee at our events, especially those organised by the ladies section. She was always found at charity events selling items she and her friends had made at the Wednesday craft class. Jean was an excellent crafter and made lots of beautiful items. She will be sadly missed at the club and craft class.

LWBA Singles (J Tweedlie) lost at Bothwell.

Tonight's promiscuous was won by Eddie Tweedlie and Jim Hainey.

BOWLS SCOTLAND DISTRICT 19 FINAL

Congratulations to our ladies rink for their silver medal in today's Rinks game with Lesmahagow bowling club.

Our team have had magnificent wins against Blantyre and Douglas Victoria and competed well today before the game ran away for them. As we said the ladies are all new bowlers in the last five years and the achievement reaching this stage is phenomenal.

The Caley are all really proud.

Good luck to our friends from Lesmahagow at Northfield.

Today's the day for our ladies Rinks District Final at Halfway and District.

Good luck to Estelle, Janice, Alison and Tricia.

Tonight we have the first night of the Lanarkshire League and the weather is set dismal.

But we'll soldier on at 630pm, both teams at home.

After the games we're keeping the club open for members to watch Scotland v Morocco. There's apparently some football tournament on.

VISIT FROM CARE HOME

The Caley Ladies welcomed 10 ladies from Bothwell Castle Residential Home for afternoon tea and to watch some of our ladies play in our promiscuous. One of the ladies Rena Fyfe was a member of Raploch BC and played at the Caley often, a lovely trip down memory lane.

HALFWAY ON SATURDAY

As members know we have a team at Halfway and District on Saturday playing in the Bowls Scotland District 19 District Final of the ladies rink.

They're up against a strong Lesmahagow rink so your support could help our girls across the line.

The game is at 130pm and we wish our team of Estelle Morton, Janice Clelland, Alison Weir and Tricia Kerr all the luck in the world. And most importantly enjoy the experience.
