Utd v Westerton

This morning the boys had final group game for the league cup.
A pretty slow start to the game in which they dominated seen them only going into half time 1-0 up with a well taking strike from Jack 💪
At half time they were asked to play a bit differently in how they had been playing a did just that with Peo scoring straight away.
Another 2 brilliantly taking goals each for Aaron and Maxwell saw the game finish 6-0👏👏
Big mention to the defense/keeper for keeping another clean sheet.
This result sees us comfortably through to semi final, winning all 4 games, scoring 20 goals and only conceding one 🔴🟡
Today's MOTM goes to Aaron who came off the bench and stamped his mark on the game with 2 goals and an assist💪💪💪
Well done Aaron and rest of the boys who all dug deep,working hard for each other in the heat this morning

Great start to the game with Fletcher setting up Maxwell to get Rossvale off the mark!
Few other chances created for both team’s until Nathan was able to double our lead with a simple finish.
Caelan came off from the bench, feeding off a great pass by Elliot and then again from Fletcher, to take his two goals well making it 4-0.
Long range effort from Mickey to make it five only for Aaron to turn up with a spectacular over head kick to make it six.
Liam entered the fold with two lovely finishes, one with the head and another placed in the corner to make it 8-0 to Rossvale.
Boys had been asked in training to be more ruthless in-front of goal and they certainly did that.

Honourable mentions for the back line that kept another clean sheet and great working for the whole squad as the level never dropped when substitutes made.

Boys were in a battle tonight as we expected, took us a bit to get to grips with it but we did 💪 Stenny got the 1st goal after few mistakes at the back not being quick enough with ball gave them the chance to score. Boys got back into it after Corey was fouled then wipped a dangerous ball in the box, Nathan with the flick goalwards to score ⚽️👏

2nd half asked the boys to match the aggression and play their football which they did, Maxwell won a freekick n Fletcher smashed it home ⚽️👏

Well done to all the boys tonight stood up strong with specials mentions to Harry in goals defence, Jack in midfield n Maxwell up top but MOTM goes to Elliot who started RWB getting up n down but staying solid at back 💪👏👏

League Cup v Westerton

Great start to the defence of the League Cup.

First half we started on the front foot and was calm at the back. Mid way through the 1st half Maxwell won a penalty and converted it well in the bottom corner. We had to change the defence with Danny coming in for Lewis but it didn't effect us and New signing Connor organising things at the back was great to see.

Early in the 2nd half with a bit of luck Oran found himself through on goal and finished well.

Westerton really put us under pressure but we stayed calm at the back and managed to keep it at 2-0. Goals from a Nathan header and a Maxwell tap in sealed the victory for us.

MOTM was Danny as he showed great character and attitude coming of the bench. Won every header and cleared his lines as well as distribution playing forward.

We thank Westerton for the game and wish them the best of luck through the season.

🔴🟡Rossvale Utd Match Report🟡🔴

Great day for a game on a decent grass pitch and we looked to get the ball down n played some good football grabbing a goal after good pressing gave Maxwell the chance to play in Peo for a tap in, carelessness at the back let Milngavie back into it then Maxwell scored again to make it 2-1, another Milngavie made it 2-2 going into HT.

2nd half n lots of action back and forth and was us that took our chances, 2 good finishes from Aaron n one from Maxwell put us 5-2 up 💪 Milngavie needing a win to keep pushing for the title came at us strong and we also had a couple different players in different positions try to get Daniel his 1st goal of season swapped him up front from def, credit to Milngavie got back into the game and finished 5-5. Stuff to learn to keep the lead and not get complacent but overall boys should be happy with performance 👌

MOTM, goes to the full squad not just for today's performance but for the season over all, came on massively from last season and should be proud of our Div Cup and Blackpool Cup Trophies with also couple festival wins in there, Well done team 👏 👏👏
