DGU Inter-Club Championships

Saturday sees the culmination of the season long campaign which saw 227 players from our member clubs playing in 11 matchplay competitions.

The finals for all the competitions will take place at Hayston Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. We have players from 12 clubs taking part.

In the junior competitions, Lenzie are to be congratulated on having 4 players in the finals with our host club having 2 players. It is great to see that we had 5 junior competitions this year.

In the Seniors Scratch championship James Robertson (Clober) plays Paul Cannell (Westerwood).

The very competitive 4 man team competition sees Douglas Park playing Palacerigg.

In the premier Champion of Champions match, Chris Clark (Bearsden) will be looking to add to his success in the Matchplay Championship when he takes on Alan Russell (Clydebank Overtoun).

DGU Strokeplay & Seniors Championships 2026
Sunday 2nd August 2026
Clober Golf Club

The combined draw for the Strokeplay & Seniors Championship has been sent to the players.

Players playing 36 holes in the Strokeplay Championship will start their 2nd round approximately 45 minutes after completion of their 1st round.

Players only competing in the Seniors Championship will play 18 holes.

The top 8 scratch scores in the 36 hole Strokeplay Championship will qualify for the Matchplay Championship being held from Monday 3rd to Wednesday 5th August at Clober Golf Club.

The Wylie Trophy will be awarded to the club with the best 36 hole aggregate scratch total for 3 players.

The field is now full with any late entries being placed on a reserve list.
