The first 1XV team sheet of the season is here, and despite a new season and a new league, it’s a very familiar-looking line-up! After a huge effort last year to earn promotion, followed by another tough preseason, the boys are ready to get stuck into their new campaign.

There are two notable new faces in the squad, with Stewart Carr named on the bench as he gets set to pull on a Lenzie jersey for the first time. Meanwhile, LRFC Mini/Midi graduate Callum Murray earns his first start on his 1XV debut, following an outstanding performance in last week’s preseason fixture — a brilliant moment for another player making the step up through the club!

Make sure to get yourself down to Whitecraigs and get behind the boys as they kick off life in their new league!

The 2026/27 season officially gets underway this weekend as our 1XV make the trip to the Southside to take on Whitecraigs in their opening match of the National 4 campaign! 🏉

A huge congratulations to Barrie, who was selected as our Player of the Match following Saturdays pre-season fixture home to Hillhead Jordanhill!

Reflecting on the match, Barrie said:

“It was a strong performance from the team against Hillhead, showcasing our squad depth with players stepping up out of position. There is a lot we can take and learn from this fixture leading into the start of a new season”

Pre-season is officially over for the 1XV as they take on a new challenge in National 4! We head to Whitecraigs for the first league match of the season. 🔥

The 2XV have one more week to wait until their league campaign gets underway, but this weekend they welcome Greenock to Lenzie for a friendly.

Our Minis & Midis are all back up and running too! 🙌
