Our JKS Glasgow Summer Photo Challenge is back for 2026!

Roads across Glasgow city will be restricted over the next month as the Commonwealth Games set to kick off in the coming weeks ⚠️

Multiple closures and restrictions will be in place from July 17 to August 17 to ensure the safety of road users and pedestrians during the event.

Anyone travelling through the city should expect prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading in some areas, as well as complete prohibition of vehicle movements and temporary left or right turns only on certain roads.

City preparations are underway, with hundreds of volunteers being put through their paces for the Glasgow 2026 Opening Ceremony at the OVO Hydro on July 23. The night will officially raise the curtain on 10 days of world-class sporting celebration in Glagsow.
