Working with a coach doesn’t magically get you a result.
You have to follow a plan.
You have to implement feedback.
You have to be willing to be challenged.
You shouldn’t need more than one coach to get you in shape (provided they’re a decent coach)
But if you’ve been through multiple and still at square one, you have to start wondering what the common denominator is…

Whenever someone says to me they want to “lose a bit of weight” I have to ask them to be a lot more specific.
Because the more detailed you can be, the higher your chances of actually achieving it.
Charles came to me knowing EXACTLY how much he wanted to lose and by when.
And he had a strong, clear WHY behind it.
That’s why’s he’s made the most incredible progress.
By working towards something that really matters.
Something excuses can’t even touch.
When you find something like that, it can make you unstoppable.
If you asked yourself why you wanted to lose weight, what would your answer be?
Could you give me 5 reasons why that was important to you?
Find your why and the results will follow.

Some serious gig blues this week after seeing Metallica and Alter Bridge last week.
Metallica was honestly up there with one of the best gigs I’ve been to.
Almost 60,000 people.
Every generation.
To celebrate a band that’s been going for over 4 decades and still sounding as good as ever.
Hopefully don’t have to wait 9 years for the next one!

Amazing work from Jane 🙌
She’s really done a brilliant job of just showing up week after week, and realising that even a little is better than not at all.
She asked in a check-in “when will I have the perfect week?”
And honestly, they barely ever happen.
There’s always something.
A missed session. A meal out. A day on the sofa.
It’s not about having perfect weeks, it’s reducing the number of weeks that would have been written off before.
Slow, steady progress.
As I always say, direction is more important than speed.
Jane has lost an incredible 10 inches from her waist.
What a difference it’s making 🙌
Goal of feeling great on holiday ✅ 🏝️

And just like that, it’s July.
6 months of the year has gone.
Everyone I’ve spoken to has said the same thing - “I don’t know where this year has gone.”
It’s so easy to let the days and months slip away from you and before you know it, you’re halfway through the year.
What do you have to show for it?
What did you set out to achieve in January?
Are you any closer?
If you had goals you wanted to reach by the end of the year, you still have 6 months to do it.
If you’re feeling frustrated that you’re not where you want to be then you need to ask yourself this:
“Have I done what I said I was going to do?”
If you haven’t, you relinquish the right to be frustrated that you’re not where you want to be.
Don’t forget to find the small moments of joy, peace and comfort in the every day.
Don’t just let the time pass you by.
Make it count.

People use getting older as an excuse for why they’re not in shape.
Or how it used to be so much easier when they were younger.
What they don’t realise is it’s not their body that’s changed - it’s their lifestyle.
They’re nowhere near as active.
They spend a lot more time eating.
Sure you might feel a little stiffer in the joints now 👴 but that doesn’t mean you can’t train hard and get in the shape you want to make yourself feel confident again.
You need a smarter approach to training.
You need to take your recovery more seriously.
You need to stop writing yourself off.

The third one is the worst to be honest.
Might as well just hit the Sun beds and save yourself some money, cause that ain’t a holiday.

Full Thor mode activated 🤘
Absolutely buzzing with this result for David.
He’s worked his arse off to get here.
4 training sessions a week.
90 - 120 mins cardio a week.
30 weeks.
I know some people see 30 weeks and think “that’s too long I want something quicker”
And that’s your attitude, you’ll never get to where you want.
Results that last are built on habits borne of patience.
Patience and trust in the plan.
30 weeks to completely change how you look when you’ve been unhappy in your body for years?
Sounds like no time at all to me 🤷♂️
