A huge happy birthday to two very special members of our FC United Academy, Jayden & Sienna! 🥳

They have both come such a long way since they first came through our doors at training and it has been fantastic to watch them grow in confidence and skill ⚽️

Jayden and Sienna always brighten up our training sessions, are always keen to play and train, and most importantly, are just an absolute joy to have around 💜

We’re grateful to have you both at FC United and we know you have very bright futures ahead in Powerchair Football! 🌟

A fantastic day at the Madeleine Steel x Aspire PSC Tournament today!

Some excellent results for us, with goals from Kaiden Gemmill, Frazer Richardson and Lewis Harris. ⚽️

A special mention to Frazer, who made his debut outside Scotland at just 12 years old, and Kaiden, who captained his team and took on the role of first pivot against very experienced players at only 10 years old. 👏

Development is so important to us, giving our young players opportunities to gain experience, build confidence and learn from other experienced players!

A huge shoutout to Kieran for being a fantastic coach and for supporting these young players and the next generation of Powerchair Footballers. We’re very lucky to have you at FC United! 🤩

Huge thanks to Jack and Lewis for coming along and supporting our young players too. 🩵

Well played to everyone who took part, congratulations to Villa Rockets Powerchair Football Club on lifting the trophy, and a big thank you to Aspire PSC for having us! 💜

La Nazionale Italiana di Powerchair Football bloccata a terra: la mobilità è un diritto, non un privilegio! - FIPPS - Federazione Italiana Paralimpica Powerchair Sport 26/07/2026

Seeing the Italian National Powerchair Football Team prevented from travelling to Scotland is heartbreaking.

As a powerchair football club, we know just how much preparation goes into travelling for competitions. Behind every trip are athletes, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters who spend months planning, fundraising and preparing.

For many wheelchair users, air travel is a source of uncertainty. We know people who have provided measurements, specifications and details of their powerchairs and equipment, as required, well in advance, only to be told on the day of travel that their chair or equipment cannot be accommodated. We have seen too many examples of wheelchairs and essential equipment being damaged or not arriving at the destination.

A powerchair is not a suitcase or a piece of luggage. It is essential mobility equipment and, in many cases, highly specialised and extremely expensive. The lack of care and consideration shown towards wheelchair users and their powerchairs and equipment during air travel is unacceptable.

To follow every required procedure and still be refused travel is awful. No wheelchair user should ever find themselves in that position.

What has happened to the Italian National Powerchair Football Team shines a light on a huge issue. Accessible travel should never be the barrier that prevents wheelchair users from living their lives, whether that’s representing their country, going on holiday, travelling for work, or simply visiting family and friends.

Air travel is already one of the least accessible forms of transport for wheelchair users. Stories like this show just how much still needs to change.

It’s time for airlines to do better. Everyone deserves the right to travel.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our number 11, Zander Tavendale! 🎉

A valued member of the squad, Zander played an important role in our League Cup-winning campaign this season, scoring multiple goals. Appointed Vice-Captain of the Warriors in January, he has been excellent between the posts with his sharp reflexes and some impressive saves.

We were delighted to see that everyone had a great time at the EPFA Youth Camp this week. 👏

As a club, we’re especially proud to see our own player, Max, enjoying a fantastic opportunity to develop his skills, meet new people and enjoy everything Powerchair Football has to offer.

Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to EPFA for another brilliant event! 💙⚽

A fantastic week at the European Powerchair Football Association - EPFA Youth Camp 2026 at the sportscotland National Training Centre in Largs!

It was great to see five young Scottish players representing Scotland and enjoying this fantastic opportunity. Throughout the week, they developed their Powerchair Football skills, met new friends from across the wider Powerchair Football community, and, most importantly, had plenty of fun along the way.

Experiences like these are invaluable in helping young players grow both on and off the court, building confidence, creating lasting friendships, and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

A huge thank you to EPFA for organising another outstanding youth camp and providing such an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

We hope everyone had an unforgettable week! 💙⚽
