We're a Scottish amateur bike race team. Nae budget. Nae drama.

We don’t take ourselves too seriously but we go full gas on the road, help each other achieve, side hustle some exposure for the bike shop behind the team and have as much fun as we can.

Been a bit too busy racing and winning to find time to post recently… so here’s a catch-upπŸ‘‡πŸ”₯

πŸ† Scottish Masters Road Championships | 27 June

Ben was our man in a stacked V40 field at the Scottish Masters Road Championships, coming away with a strong 5th place in V40 against some seriously experienced competition πŸ’ͺ

🏁 Crit by the Clyde – Cambuslang | 16 July

Zach took his πŸ₯‡ first win for the team, getting himself into the breakaway and holding it to the line, while Liam marked the moves behind to make sure the team had the race covered.

Zach’s first win in Torvelo colours and hopefully the first of many πŸ‘

🌧️ Eastern Promise Road Race | 26 July

Calum, Zach, Murray and Liam took on a wet start and a punchy finish at Eastern Promise.

Calum powered his way to πŸ₯‰ 3rd, with Zach taking 6th after another strong showing at the sharp end of the race.

πŸͺ¨ Gravel Crit | 29 July

Things got considerably muddier at the Gravel Crit, where Calum sprinted to πŸ₯‡ victory in a close finish.

Liam was also in the mix after an early two-man move was brought back, eventually finishing safely in the bunch. A proper mud-fest from start to finish.

🏁 Crit by the Clyde – Cambuslang | 6 August

Another strong showing at Cambuslang.

Zach made it into a hard-fought late-race break and sprinted to πŸ₯ˆ 2nd place, while Liam brought it home safely with the bunch.

πŸ† Ivy Road Race | 9 August

A proper team performance and another win.

Liam went solo early before being joined by four chasers on lap one, while David and Zach put in some serious counter-attacks to keep the pressure on. Enda did the important work of marking moves and keeping tabs on the dangerous riders.

That set the stage perfectly for Calum, who timed his attack to perfection and went clear in a two-man break before taking the πŸ₯‡ win in the sprint.

David rounded out the podium with 4th, with Zach, Enda and Liam all putting in the work to deliver the result.

So that’s three wins, two podiums and a whole lot of racing in the last few weeks.

We promise we’ll try to post more often. No promises we’ll have time though. πŸ˜…πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯

Now that the madness of organising the Mennock is out of the way, normal business resumes... πŸ‘‡

🏁 Crit by the Clyde (3/4 Race)
A proper squad turned out for the inaugural Crit by the Clyde, with Zach, Liam, Ross, Murray and Enda all on duty. Zach timed his move to perfection to take πŸ₯ˆ 2nd place, while the rest of the lads were stuck in behind trying to keep tabs on the action. Strong ride and another podium for the newest recruit πŸ‘

🌬️ JCC Wind Farm Crits
Crit racing meets gravel racing meets a relentless headwind. Calum sprinted his way to πŸ₯ˆ 2nd place in the A race, missing out on the win by the narrowest of margins, while David backed it up with 4th place. Liam and Ross were also in the mix, helping ensure the team was well represented from the front of the race right to the very back πŸ˜…

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ The Mennock Stage Race
While the rest of us were busy moving barriers, hanging signs and surviving on meal deals, Ben was flying the flag as our sole rider in a stacked field at the Mennock. Against some seriously strong opposition, he successfully completed the race when plenty of others didn’t, putting together a solid weekend and showing well in the V40 competition throughout πŸ’ͺ

🌧️ West Lothian Cycle Circuit (3/4 Race)
Friday night saw Liam and Murray take on a damp and technical circuit at West Lothian. No results to trouble the podium, but both riders kept it rubber-side down and gained another evening of valuable race miles without testing the durability of their helmets. We’ll take that as a win.

Podiums, race miles, and only a moderate amount of suffering. Business as usual πŸ”₯

The Torvelo squad goes international for the weekend. πŸŒŽπŸ‘‡

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Eddie Morgan Road Race: Ben continued his strong run of form with another top 10 finish against a competitive field. Another strong result and proof that the legs are heading in the right direction. πŸ’ͺ

πŸŠπŸš΄πŸƒ Triathlon Duties: Zach was involved in the Bundasleiga Triathlon in Germany and helped secure the team win πŸ™Œ We’re still trying to work out why anyone would willingly enter a bike race that starts with a swim and finishes with a run, but each to their own. πŸ˜…

⛰️ Grand Old Dukes Gravel Race: Calum took on the mammoth 111-mile route with over 10,000 feet of climbing and came away with an impressive 5th overall. πŸ‘

Looks like his transformation to mountain goat is more or less complete. 🐐

Big efforts all round and another weekend of strong results for the team! πŸ”₯

Road racing duties this weekend at the Jack Campbell Road Race.πŸ‘‡

Ben and Liam were on the start line alongside new rider Zach making his team debut in what was a seriously stacked field and a demanding day of racing from the gun.⚑

With attacks flying and no easy moments out there, Zach was the team’s best placed rider, bringing it home with the main bunch on the line in a strong first outing for the team.πŸ‘

A tough race, good experience in the legs, and plenty more to come. πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸ”₯
