Glasgow ANSAR stands for All Nations Sports Arts Recreation Currently membership is in excess of 200 ranging in ages from 8 to 45 and from both sexes.
Furthermore it no longer confines its activities to the sports arena. Through strong networking links and collaborative work with local agencies the service provision now encompasses areas as diverse as careers advice, counselling, confidence building and access to both academic and sporting qualifications to name but a few.

Huge morning for our 2014’s who moved from small sided football into their first competitive 11-a-side game.
A good result in the end. Goals from Eesa Z (3), Izaan (2) and Elliot (pen) secure the points.
Well done boys!!
Special mentions to Elliot who really impressed the referee and Luqman who received very positive feedback from the opposition.

A huge congratulations to all of our ANSAR young people collecting their results. Whether you’ve been one of our volunteers, participants, coaches or young leaders, we’re incredibly proud of all that you’ve achieved.
Many of you have balanced school, studying and exams alongside giving your time to support younger children, coach sessions and help at ANSAR events. Your commitment, kindness and leadership make a real difference to our community, and we want to thank you for everything you do.
We’d also like to recognise the incredible support of parents, carers and families. Your encouragement, patience and belief in our young people play such an important role in helping them reach their potential.
Whatever your results today, remember that they are just one part of your journey. Celebrate your achievements, be proud of the effort you’ve put in, and if things haven’t gone quite as planned, know that there are always different pathways and people ready to support you.

As we celebrate 25 Years of Glasgow ANSAR and the Summer of Sport, we’re reminded that our summer camp is about so much more than sport.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve welcomed children from across Glasgow to play, learn, be creative, make friends and feel they belong. Thanks to the support of Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and Glasgow Life Sport we’ve been able to keep our camps affordable and accessible for more children and families this summer.
We’re incredibly proud that many of our young leaders and volunteers were once ANSAR participants themselves. Today, they’re inspiring the next generation. 💙
For 25 years, we’ve believed in the power of sport, arts and community to change lives. Together, they build confidence, improve wellbeing, create opportunities and bring people together.
At a time when many communities are experiencing division, prejudice and hate, safe and inclusive spaces like these matter more than ever. This is where confidence grows, friendships are built and young people discover their potential.
A huge thank you to our amazing coaches, volunteers, partners and funders for making it all possible. Here’s to another two weeks of fun, friendship, leadership and unforgettable memories!
