17 years in football. Sometimes at a cost.

Family and friends parties missed. Weddings I only made the tail end of or not at all. Nights out I missed. Training every week.

Time missed with the kids I’ll no get back either.

Was it worth it? Aye it was. Hopefully the memories were good and I made them proud.

Here’s the thing though. If I made they sacrifices earlier, who knows where I could’ve got to.

Hindsight’s a wonderful thing.

Yous know I’m a preacher of you can still change without giving up everything. I’ve said it a hundred times and I still mean it.

But if it’s costing you, then some of it has to go. No all of it.

“Nothing changes if nothing changes.”

So if you already know you need to start changing something, do it the now. Before you kick the can down the street and another year passes and you say I wish I started earlier.

Have a good week.

New job and shifts to get used to. Layla leaving for Dubai. Brodie. Rangers. Football. Gillian’s birthday. Eating out a lot more than I’m used to.

Just life getting in the way.

I’m still getting to the gym to an extent, just not to my usual standards. At least 2 sessions getting binned every week that I had planned in my head. Alongside the food being very laxed, it’s no a good combo.

That’s how it goes. When you’re looking for excuses the gym and the nutrition are the first to go. Every time. The thing that’s the best thing for you as well.

Very easy done, as I’m showing yous just now.

I’m no hiding from it. I need my arse kicked.

Got a bit of a run at things now so it’s heed down arse up.

We go again.

Still spaces to get going and finish the year strong hit me up!

A day I kidded on wasn’t happening for so long and now it’s crept up.

Tearful day at the airport seeing Layla off to her new life in Dubai.

We’ll all miss you loads.

Love you forever and ever ❤️

5 spaces open on the Everyday Athlete programme.

Mikey, Rob and Gordy all finished up last week. Near enough 3 stone between them and not one of them had the same problem to fix.

Which is the whole point. It’s built round your week, not a template.

We’re nearly into the last third of 2026 as well. If you’ve been watching this page thinking you’ll get round to it, that’s most of the year gone already.

Message me ATHLETE and we’ll have a chat & see if we are a fit to work together.

Have a good weekend

3 lads finished up this month.

None of them alike.

First up Mikey. 94.25kg down to 88kg in 12 weeks. New to nutrition and guilty of falling off track completely after one slip up. We started right in the middle of nights out season and navigated the lot of them. Proud of him. Off to a new team now with the tools and a platform to kick on.

Second is Rob, the giveaway winner. 86.8kg down to 81.8kg. Came in wanting 82.5kg for his holiday because that’s where he’s felt his best before. Knew what he was doing already so it was fine tuning. Nutrition mix ups, a few niggly injuries, bathroom scales packing in. Got there anyway. Grafted his arse off for that holiday.

Last one Gordy. 76kg down to 67.5kg. He knew exactly what he had to do. He was just going round in the same circles. Defo starting this Monday. And never did. Basic gym work, plenty of steps and his Muay Thai. Stuck a side on in at the end as well because that’s the one that really shows how far he’s come. The result speaks for itself and he’s going to keep it going, but he’s in a far better place mentally as well and that’s the bit that makes me really happy.

Chuffed with all 3 for completely different reasons.

Should be proud of yourselfs lads!

Well done 🤝

Just shows the programme works for a wide range of guys as long as they’re willing to keep chipping away.

Spaces opening up again to finish the year strong. Mad to say we are nearly in the last 1/3 of 2026 already 🤯🙃

Think it was needed.

Roughly 2.5kg up on the scale. Might be water. Might be a bit of body fat. Might have even lost a bit of muscle in there.

Doesn’t matter. A good time was had.

Barely trained and I’ve no regrets whatsoever. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Been a hectic few months so a proper recharge and a blowout was well overdue.

Graduating. 10 days away with the family. Then a night at Ibrox with the boys on Saturday.

Eased back into the gym this week. New programme starting next week. Back at football since Thursday and my first day as a firefighter tomorrow.

Full steam ahead again.

A few clients are finishing up so keep the eyes peeled for spaces opening in the coming days/weeks.

Graduation day 🎓🚒

18 weeks done. What a journey.

Highs, lows, doubts, laughs... every emotion you could imagine. Made some brilliant pals along the way and friendships that’ll last a lifetime.

We made it. 💪

Now it’s time for a wee recharge in the Reef with the family before the real work begins.

Have a great weekend troops.

The partnership comes to an end 🥲😂

One weekend used to cost Tam two weeks.

Night out Saturday. Write off Sunday. Chuck the diet Monday. Start again next week. Repeat.

8 months later this is him finishing up the programme.

The photos show the body change with fat loss and a total change in bodyshape. They don’t show the bigger one.

Tam still enjoys a night out. That never stopped. The difference is now he has his night, takes his recovery day and he’s straight back to it Monday morning.

No 2 week write offs. No starting again Monday. Just bouncing back quicker every time.

That’s the whole thing mastered.

Has he fell out with himself along the way? Aye. Has he fell out with me? Also aye 😂

But that’s what 8 months of real change looks like. Overall he’s been a pleasure to work with and he’s leaving with the tools to run it himself now. That’s the goal for every lad that comes in. Not needing me forever.

Buzzing for him. Genuinely.

All the best ma pal 🤝

DM me “ATHLETE” if you’re done letting one weekend turn into two
