Just over a week since we at ME7 Manor covered the Retained & Released List published by after the end of the 25/26 season.

Now it's my turn to fly solo as I look at the 12 senior players released by the club and try to map out their next moves!

Who could potentially play higher?

Who will have to work their way back into the EFL?

Who might come back to bite us next season?

Since the beginning of 2026, have conceded 46 goals in the league.

3 more than Barrow.
5 more than Tranmere.
11 more than Newport.
17 more than Harrogate.
18 more than Crawley.

It's even 3 more than Sheffield Wednesday, who haven't won a single match this year.

By my reckoning, that means we've conceded more goals in 2026 than any other team in the top 4 divisions.

Like the vast majority of fans, there is absolutely zero satisfaction from being outfought, outclassed, outplayed and completely annihilated.

BUT.

We need to be. We need this to show the management team, the owners and the people behind the scenes the state this club is in right now on the pitch.

On the 29th March 2025, this squad played their first game under Gareth Ainsworth and were unbeaten in the next 9 matches last season. This was a false reading.

The manner of the "performances", the way in which we're conceding pathetic goals, and the lack of ability across 95% of this squad to do the basics right - I hope the powers that be are seeing this and are under no illusions that many of them need to be released come May 3rd 2026.

No temporary run of form.
No reprieve.
No second chances.

We're not a huge club, but we're a proud one, and a committed and passionate fanbase.

So many of this squad deserve to never wear the shirt again.
